@Werelds
Absolutely hate GoW, so yeah i might not like it, but i think i will give it a try nonetheless. The devs did say they would add more options for taking down enemies and more ways to interact with environments and more paths to take. I only played the first GoW and it was so on-rails it was like going back to playing The House of the Dead, awful.. it cant be that bad Very Happy

Oh man.. I actually think You shoot more enemies in uncharted than in gow but uc has worse shooting. Thankfully there is some on rails platforming and super easy puzzles. I wished UC was more based on puzzles and platforming rather than get in room, shoot everyone, get in another room, shoot everyone, open door, shoot everyone.

They're both factually crap because gampads can't aim for shit.

True. Gamepad aiming is very limited but that dont matter at all. Precision and twitch shooting is not why people play those console games. You dont play those games competively and if You do, everyone is on the same ground.
Why some people think that all the fun in game comes down to aiming at points in the screen? Some good console games make You not think about that and let focus more on game and other mechanics Smile

You just said the game has too much shooting, which obviously means that aiming your weapon is a pretty big part of the game. Focus on whatever you want, but you will still have to do a lot of aiming and shooting which will have an impact your overall experience.

It's even worse with GoW, which is a cover shooter at its core. The fun of this game is supposed to be in combat, so no matter how well designed their arenas and combat sequences are, I will never be able to appreciate them when I am struggling with controls the whole time. My entire focus will be in aiming at points on screen Razz

I played RDR with high aimbot assistance. Laughing Basically, tapping the aim trigger would make the crosshair jump to the closest enemy's head. Releasing and tapping again would move to the next one and so on. Laughing But I didn't play if for the shooting, I played it for the story, the world, the exploration and the music. I guess the most important bit is that the shooting wasn't so terrible as to degrade these elements that were important to me. Same reason I could play GTA5 on the PS3 and also enjoy it.

Same here, played with the "normal" assist since I am not too shabby with a gamepad. The shooting was just a little cherry on top of a big cake, and you don't just pick off the cherry and just leave the rest. After all, John Marston was a gunslinger, one of the best on side with Landon Ricketts, so this didn't lessen the immersion at all.

I don't think it should make that much of a difference - stick aiming is still stick aiming. At least in my case I am nowhere near the point where a different location of the left stick would make things better.

They should make something like steam controller with "mouse look" instead, but it looks like many people don't really like it and it's certain to throw off many console gamers.

I've tested that controller. It's terrible as well. At some point I wanted to throw the controller at the screen because aiming was so terrible. Thumbs just don't have the necessary precision or finesse to aim properly. So that would be even more annoying for me than just the sticks with aimbot.

But does it have deserts? Razz

Completely different experiences and atmospheres in these games.. What i really liked with RDR was the quests and the many colorful characters. Damn it, now im getting all nostalgic and wishing i hadn't sold my 360 Sad

My experience with it is the opposite of yours then Very Happy
It may not be as accurate as the mouse (although I would say that the gap is a bit wider due to complete lack of muscle memory when using it), but it's miles ahead of sticks for me.
Also the main solution for precision aiming is utilising the gyro. I only use the trackpad to quickly get the camera where it needs to be.

It's only good when it works as the mouse though. When it's in "stick mode" it's terrible - I'd rather have the real thing.

I caved in not too long ago - definitely worth buying a PS4 for Bloodborne alone, and Last of Us if you haven't played it. The remaster allows for 60 FPS, which is definitely the way to play.

Good luck. Even in 10years emulation wont be good enough.

I disagree as both Xenia and Rpcs3 can run some 3D games at almost full speed with Decent Hardware.

It won't be 100% flewless emulation anytime soon though.

Most of us had a problem with your timing, not the fact that we'll get emulation eventually.
Best to stick to what is being said. Smile

I could see a remaster sooner. But... Its all assuming anyway.

No no, it was definitely happening years ago. I don't know why it didn't surface when the soothsayer claimed it was basically done, I guess the developers figured they were working too fast so decided to slow down. It's definitely coming this year though, if not this year, then Soon© definitely definitely. 'Course, it's four minutes to Wapner.
