I'll grab this for the co-op mode as well, lets hope the game is a major improvement over Gauntlet:Dark Legacy otherwise it won't be spending more than 5-10 minutes on my Xbox. Razz

Well seeing as the two main developers abandoned ship half way through this game I have a feeling the latter half will be crap Smile

However, these "bash em up" two player RPG's are the only thing my g/f will join in with so it will get played anyway, and we usually enjoy them even enjoyed Gauntlet Dark Legacy hahaha.

The release looks worryingly small though - 1GB??

Plenty of good games come out these days for Xbox and are only around 1 gig in size so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

As for the game I gave it a quick 15-20 minutes just then with all of my low expectations being realised I'll come back to it later in the day though and see if it gets any better (im freaking knackered need to crash for a few hours).

To be honest as someone whos old enough to have played on the original Gauntlet coin-ops and owned the conversions on a couple of the old tape driven 8 bit computers this game just isn't retro enough for me to awaken that nostalgic feeling and its not a game thats been done well enough to compete with the current gen titles within this genre i.e. Hunter the Reckoning and Hunter the Reckoning:Redeemer which are decent games when put alongside something like this.

I''ll stick to the original and best versions of Gauntlet, if I can remember correctly they were on one of those retro arcade collection packs that got released this year or maybe it was last year?. Smile

Hmm, after playing for a couple hours, I'm not so excited as I was a week ago. Most reviews are either rated fair to good. I really dislike how goons will come out from the side as long as you sit there. Move to another area, kill the 'factory' and then move a little and boom, coming out of the damn side again until you move. Visuals arent making me smile so its a renter for sure.
