Hello!. I wanted a little help for someone that lives above me for some internet speed support.

You see, my motherboard (ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING) has this "1 Gigabit" (1000mbps?) speed (Ethernet cable connected directly to the MB's Ethernet port) and goes full speed with my phone company's contract (wich is 300mb DL and 30mb UL).

However, top floor's partner's motherboard doesn't has 1 Gigabit option in the Control Panel's Network Adapter settings (The motherboard's Ethernet Port, again), because the motherboard is ooooooold...

My question is.. Is there a chance that if i bought him a PCI Ethernet card with 10/100/1000mbps will make him achieve such 300 DL / 30 UL speed no matter how old his PC might be?...

that old motherfucking board any spare pci express slot? old standard pci has very limited bandwitdh (133MBit/s, in theory, practical its way below)

Will have to check that once i get to reach the MB's specs via AIDA64...
