We can read between the lines.

* 50% of all revenue is from digital sales
* digital = 99% from PC
* PC also has retail on top of that.
* PC owns all
* fuck consoles

I would rather want to wait another year not knowing anything and next year at e3 reveal and BAM later that year the game comes out, kinda like what happened with fallout 4

They are obviously taking a big hit on percentages for physical console sales. At least 2/3rds of their sales are console, so don't expect any renewed focus on PC in the future. If the next console gen switches to media-less/downloads, probably expect an even greater focus on consoles as profit margins goes up.

Mhm, but that's not exactly been the industry standard with big releases. W3 was announced... uh, spring 2013 I think? So well in advance - but who knows, they might try Bethesda's approach too this time around.

Wasn't that what the mobile game they made was, some sort of MOBA? Something like a shooter (1st person or cover-based) seems more likely.

The problem with that strategy for CDPR is that their Cyberpunk franchise is not as well known, and they will need to generate hype between now and release.

It was always Q2 IIRC. April is included as part of Q2 so that would gel with the rumours of a late April release.

The problem with that strategy is that they couldn't shut up about their game. We've been hearing it for years now. Bethesda just dropped the bomb on E3 with an early release date. While everyone was wondering: will they finally tell us they are working on the game or not.

Maybe relevant video? (especially part (4:25) where he predicts that CDPR may release more DLCs like Hearts of Stone, so Blood and Wine would not be the last DLC for Witcher 3). Well, I'd be happy if that was the case Smile

They did say something like that, yes. But what else can they put out in 2016 than something Witcher related? People want more of Witcher (me included), so why not make more quality DLCs? It makes sense Smile

They only said Geralt's story is over. They'd be foolish to drop their best (and so far only) IP just like that.

I wonder if they'll follow the new trends, like VR, perhaps with a strip game of Gwent, starring all the whoredaughters like Sweet Nettie, Mercia, Bertha.. and Keira as the final motorboating boss!
