Was hanging with Fubar, Mighty and Jockey (later we did a mission with a random after he left) which was very challenging on Hard and it was a really intense battle in a really well designed place. Also played with Bob, wald and Jockey originally for a smaller while.

Needless to say, they did improve the game heavily from the Betas, especially the details and such, while maintaining roughly the same performance. There still was some whacky shit like the Chat and missing Rewards additionally to the terrible launch, but overall the game is very fun and you can easily level up doing only new missions so you don't really "grind" that much but instead work your way up and discover all the beautiful scenery. There's lots to look around in, very varied. This certainly has the bang for the buck for me and has proven that being open-minded is the better opinion sometimes The Base isn't just "upgrade here and there", the place changes with each and every single one and gives you a clear advantage for whatever you choose. There's much to discover and the Crafting system is well made (apart from crafting one at a time). I can only speak for myself and say I had 2 disconnects in 2 days of playing and was back just as fast as I exited.

More I play and more I think that this game is born to be played in SP.
I mean: OK, missions and DZ are funnier and easier with a group but there is so much to explore that it's almost impossible to do with a group.
At least in comparison with Destiny since it has a faster gameplay and you don't have to explore so much...

@ClaudeFTW
That seems to be either like a running gag now for Ubilol games, or the devs there are seriously that untalented.

I have to agree to this point, especially if you're explorer type.

@Harry, agree with you, can't wait to try the crafting system and gather some important resources.

I have two main problems with the game regarding performance:

- GPU (970 OC) and especially my CPU (i5-2500k OC) are most of the time running at full usage. I had to open one side of my PC-case, because my cooling is not good enough otherwise. grinhurt
A few others seem to have the same problem, at least for the CPU running at full usage:
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1402188-Consistently-high-CPU-usage

- Another problem is the the fluctacting performance. That's especially bad if smoke and fire is on the screen. That is also confirmed on a german benchmark at the bottom at a screenshot:
http://www.gamestar.de/hardware/praxis/technik-check/3269013/the_division_pc_technik.html

Both these problems i really can't remember having in the two beta events. So i hope there soon will be another patch. Surprised

I only watched streams and videos but is this game having any other enemies than some masked guys with guns and armored dudes with riffles? The combat seems so monotonous because of this it kinda kills all these various weapons, mods and upgrades you have. Are later there going to be some kind of mosters and hard bosses who need more than endless shooting to kill?

First beta was flawless for me, second one was not so much, but the full game sometimes i have almost single digit fps drops sometimes.
I am using old drivers tho, hope newest AMD drivers solve that ( Reaction )

try these settings you can raise streaming as well depending on the cpu.

Game runs on full CPU usage because 4 cores are utilized absolutely fully, this is first game that runs shit on dual core (i3, 2 cores + HT). This uses even my 5820K very nicely, all 6 cores + HT is utilized.

Not getting any issues with my i7 cpu use wise, the 970 of course is at 99% and a nice flat line but that is normal for a gpu in good use. The cpu never gets higher than 50c here and 40% use @4.7ghz

If you want some fluidity gain, turn off fxaa option completley when using supersampling (you see no loss of quality anyhow as supersampling is doing a great job) This could be due to changing to those beta drivers though, I am still not convinced they are better to use than the whql before it. My stream is set to 100 and it works better than most that seem to run it at 70.

so far, 14 hours in, lvl 10, yes no variety in enemies. there's 3-4 different types from what I gather.

regular dude with smg/sniper/shotie, dude with shield, dude with flamethrover, boss with flamethrower.

that's all I can recall.

I already have most settings the same as yours. Sad
I disabled ingame AA though and am using Reshade for SMAA. But even disabling it only gives me like 2-4 FPS.

Don't you get FPS drops to 40-45 in some smoke/fire particle heavy areas?

@Breezer_
Full usage might be good. But i get stuttering as soon as my CPU is at nearly 100% usage.

Stop using reshade? If the game doesn't run properly to begin with then why the heck would you use something like reshade?
Owait I propably know the issue for you but I can't say it out loud now can I

I wrote that disabling Reshade barely has an impact on performance man.
And besides using it for SMAA i use it to enhance my visuals with a sharper and more vibrant look.

I thought you meant just disabling SMAA.
But still, if you complain about performance then why would you use something that degrades it? Tweak those settings until it runs properly, what else is there to do?

dont you find it sharp enough with the sharpness ingame slider at 100 though? I mean for colour sure if your pref is more saturation thats fine but I personally did not think it was not sharp enough with the parallax and sharpness settings on full.

nope, with those settings i'm at 60 fps all the time, even bumped streaming to 100% as that doesn't affect gpu usage. volumetric smoke is the killer setting.

Sharpness at 0 :O, I will take a look at that surely it must look flat and blury on the textures, if u turn that down you might as well change parallax for depth of texture look as well as they sort of go hand in hand.

Just made some notes off nVidia's guide, the interactive comparo is super useful. A lot of time, differences between medium/high are barely noticeable during gameplay.

Can't wait to get home and set the game.

@moosenoodles Super crap compared to other LMGs, you will be able to craft the blue M60 after a side quest. And I would not concentrate on buying much at this point since you will be exchanging your gear very often beyond level 10. Unless you have a huge love for this thing.

Damn this game is frustrating!

It's almost a welcome change to be flanked by baseball bat wielding freaks who sometimes come out of seemingly nowhere to bash my skull in. And the snipers who actually miss occasionally.

Actually, the AI in this isn't all that bad. I hate it Laughing

And recoil is horridly realistic (ish).

I don't, however, have a lot of time for bullet-sponge Elites, who can shrug off exploding oilcans, grenades, sticky bombs and swathes of bullets for eons before death. A bit cheap.

All I really wish for is a 1st person perspective.

Explored the entire map now, the higher level zones are instant death if you do get shot but thankfully traveling through them is pretty easy as the AI isn't very "bright" to put it mildly. Razz

Heh yeah some lvl.4 thug in a jacket and cap with a piss poor pistol can take three - four rifle clips before falling because he happens to be named and that means he has those four armored bars though once those are finally gone the thugs actual health level isn't too bad.
