Quote:
CD Projekt RED’s CEO, Marcin Iwinski, has confirmed that The Witcher franchise has sold more on the PC than on consoles. This was revealed in an interview with YouTube’s Maciej Pius who had the opportunity to sit down with Marcin Iwinski about the past, the present and the changes in video game industry.

As Marcin Iwinski said at one point:

“Consoles began for real with PS2 from Sony, and then with X360. PS wasn’t available for everyone. It was an expensive toy with expensive games. I was already distributing games at that time and I remember what was the expenditure for video games. PS was available for more affluent people and PS2 was available for the masses and started to develop this market. However, the PC still holds strong. Most of The Witcher sales are for the PC, though consoles started selling very well. “

Are there more expansions coming for this?

Almost embarrassed to say i didn't finish this yet (i'm maybe 15% done). Though when i see a great game i usually want to wait for patches, mods and for all expansions, to get the best experience.

Does quests from boards disappear once you massively out level them? I'm 25 and went over some boards i've ignored in Valen, and they just had nothing, even though they showed a exclamation mark.

@vurt it was

@Stormwolfthey shouldn't disappear, only those that affect the storyline wouldn't be available anymore if you past a certain point in the main story.
after finishing more main quests some boards get updated with new contracts.
tried looking in inventory to see if there's a letter from the board for you to read so the quest can be activated?

worst case maybe, it just could be bugged.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man. Reaction

Google translate says its april Very Happy

Strange that kwiecień means April in polish, when květen (pretty similar pronunciation) means May in czech

Decided to stop playing and restart with all the DLCs and fixes on.

So I am still waiting for this extra Toussaint experience AND the regular scripts screw-ups so I can set up (once and for all - hopefully, eh!) my mods.

The main story was interesting towards the end for sure, but the heart of stone beat the shit out of it. The storytelling and scenarios were pretty damn amazing.

Yeah, me too! only thing i can complain about is that heart of stone wasn't woven into the game properly. It shouldn't have included a Shani romance like she was the one and only for him. Just doesn't work.

Guys, can I sell emerald etc dust to anyone in the game? The internets seem to have only the answers on where to buy or find it.

Why ?

Todd has been one of the most influential person in gaming industry over a decade now. He did amazing work with TES and Fallout. Sure both series can use a massive overhaul, but that doesn't change the fact that he is one of the best. Also, one of very few developers to have created four consecutive Game of the Year award winners. Not an easy feat.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

His lies are legendary, well deserved!

@IamAWESOME It is an easy feat when you have Bethesda's money... Like GOTY awards even mean something nowadays other than who has the most influence over the press.

Todd Howard is a great example of what'a wrong with the industry and he got an award for that. I don't think gaming can be saved anymore.

I love his work myself.

I do wish he'd improve mechanics and systems - but I also understand that he needs to appeal wide with the kind of budget that's involved.

Oh, and as crappy as the Fallout 3/4/Skyrim mechanics can be in terms of challenge and balance, I definitely think they're better than the dreary character system in Witcher 3.

Witcher 3 is a beautiful game with a powerful narrative, but they need to step up their game in terms of character progression and loot.

I'm really fine with Todd getting a lifetime award. Love or hate Bethesda, they've really influenced the genre or even the industry with their work. They've also got some real masterpieces under their belt: I still play Skyrim from time to time and I still get the occasional urge to return to Morrowind - despite the utterly broken/boring combat and balance in that game. It's just that good. There arean't that many games I can say that about. Wish I could say the same about their Fallout games Sad

And, of course, nice award for TW3. This one is pretty special too, since it's awarded by the developers, not the press.

@Casus Like the character progression in Bethesda games is any good or would have helped if it was good but still had that crappy combat system.

@Aquma Yes, they influenced the industry by pushing these big open world games filled with nothing and now we can't get rid of the concept. Rolling Eyes Wish they would go back to the Morrowind style, but they need new writers capable of creating a compelling world with an intricate political and social system.
