DO NOT INSTALL THE NEW DRIVERS -

Driver is Bugged, anyone with a Dual+ Monitor setup will hose your system on install.

Tried the drivers Twice on fresh installs same thing happened, did another fresh install with single monitor setup, Driver installed fine.

Lots of people reporting thhe same issue on Nvidia''s forums..

It is really quite simple,,, one you install the new drivers after wiping from safe mode with DDU make sure only one monitor is plugged in until drivers been reinstalled from normal boot.

There you go not hard eh Very Happy A fair number of us get or had this issue anyhow with certain motherboards. It is an odd issue but the sensible thing is to always go back to simple pauper screen use basics for testing purposes.

I always use DDU, but these installs were on 2 fresh machines setup on my bench as refurbs, so yeah they didn't even have a driver installed at all bar the default VGA driver

So yeah DDU would not have helped in any way there, and there is no way i would ever install a brand new driver on my main machine without testing it first on a my test bed machine. Also the boards on these machines are the same as my main, and i have NEVER had this issue with dual monitor install before.

And reading more on Nvidia's forums, seems its not limited to only Dual Monitor setups, seems it also effects single setups aswell.

that's a terrible thing to do though, at least global profile wise. why would you want your gpu to run 3d clocks 24/7?

nice scores on the ti as well, as expected 30 fps better than a 970 OC Crying or Very sad

Some people still seem to have problems with game crashes or bluescreens. I don't have those problems.
But i get terrible tearing in Firefox at the bottom since the latest drivers.

Best setting 'adaptive' in global, then set 'max performance' for each game. This way the card will clock down when not gaming Smile

My 970 was send to warranty second time and I bought used 660 ti and I got a problem with system or drivers I think.

When I wake up pc from sleep mode gpu clocks behave weird, most of the time they are stuck on lowest speeds, they go up to full clocks(without boost) only for few seconds after lunching browser or furmark, in games they are stuck on lowest clocks.

I am on win 10, tried 2 newset drivers but no change, tried also setting max performance in nvidia cp but no dice.

Anyone got similar problem? It wasnt present on 970, but two different 660 ti cards both have it so I think its driver problem, maybe I should use older drivers with this card or Win 10 doesnt like it?
