Well i read this on some other forum:

Ok this does really help us out getting games like this working, but if there is a "backdoor" that is simply based on a string key (i.e. the report) isn't this something that the crack creators could be looking at? If all they need to do is release a keygen that looks at the same hardware components this backdoor looks at it should be all go?
Just a thought.. I have expect to get flamed here, but..... |
Someone tried it and said he was thrown to the cdkey entry screen, but since the cdkey seems to be generated from this report, the provided cdkey in the nfo did not work. Someone has any information on this ?

Yeah its allready been discussed long time ago and works, but i wonder if its possible to fake the hardware ID, which is written everytime into the registry when it reads the info.

for months they tried to build a keygenerator for theese keys. u have logerror file, u send it to starforce devs and they generate the key to bypass the protection.
18 months, noone was able to replicate that keygen.

I doubt that anyone has ever tried.

Probably traces in the registry. Gamejack is a software where you keep your protection info stored on original disks or clones. So you dont need to insert disks everytime.
