Only time I needed VPN was to change country, haven't used it since. Can play games just fine.

Everybody is coming down from the XCOM2 trip realizing there's nothing to play; I bet the Division will be tempting for a lot of people. Its the new shiny, at least for a while. Very Happy

1 create steam account using indian vpn
2 purchase steam gift card and activate using said indian steam account using vpn
3 purchase steam game using indian vpn and loaded gift card balance
4 profit

Few bucks? this game costs $60 on Steam which is nearly 60% more than it costs on the Indian store Rolling Eyes

And the savings are quite a bit more than just a few bucks. Division for example is ~24€ on India steam and what, 59,99€ on Euro store?

Only VPN trick I use is on Origin since that's easy, turn on, place in cart, check out, turn off, pay, booyakasha!

This requires multiple accounts, buying and activating gift cards... etc. Too much effort.

Knowing my luck, I'll be stuck with some Indian version of that game where all NPC's be talking "walllalalalalalallalalalala thank you for calling AT&T!"

Still, got the game for free from Logitech purchase so Razz
