HOWEVER it's no doubt a commercial flop..... the game has a massive barrier to entry....it looks too simple. everyone believes it wont be their type of game, but when they play it they realise there's MUCH more to it than expected. Noone is willing to take the plunge though on the trailer alone.
102 total sales. but the game is on 1533 steam wishlists....so that confirms my point.
Effectively. I need some lucky coverage, and maybe a big sale after a month. To bring those numbers up. I am considering a 1 chapter demo as well.
The realism of me being able to make another game...at least right away....well i just wont. But honestly I need a break, so I don't mind getting a job for a year or so and resetting myself.
Thanks for all your support...Ill keep you all updated if anything changes...
anyone did topic on NeaFAG??
Could do it , but would need help with making the actual topic to gather more interest (not really that good with creating cool OPs)
I can help Prudislav. could get on a skype call or something?
And yeah Bob, its not ideal. but Im so proud of what I have managed. getting on Rock paper shotgun was a dream come true, and those lets plays of sprinter literally bring me to tears.
After so much work, its nice to know what I made resonates, even if its with a tiny audience. I didnt; sell out. I didn't make a pixel art rouguelike murder game. It's my bed, and im overjoyed to lie in it.
Plus real life... a 9-5 I dont care about for a change, being a socialite. plus there's a girl... its all more enticing than another few years of hell creating an even better game right now.
Not sure I can put myself through it again. not right now anyway.
yeah, gonna need some media exposure. steam is way too big now for anyone to get noticed without media exposure. send it everywhere, try to get sites to do an interview with you.
send it to total twatscuit and other popular yt/steam curators.

I have done all of this, and am doing tons more every day, trust me.
I have had rock paper shotgun cover it, and tons more sites. I have a small pr company helping. I am not just relying on steam traffic by any means.
Its just a tough game to sell on top of needing much more coverage.
It's strange, I just recently searched for it in the latest releases tab of steam and it didn't find it. I just had to buy a game developed by the company and released on my birthday
102 sales is really not that much How long did you work on this game and did you do all of it by yourself?
BTW you should've started promoting it earlier here
