I've been watching this event from the beginning. Even now, its the 3rd match between LGD and Newbee But hell if i understand what could James do to get fired and be called an ass. One of his jokes must have hurt Valve's ego somehow, otherwise it makes no sense.
It's probably a bit more than that when Gabe himself makes a post on Reddit calling him an ass.
Valve should've known James is an asshole as he has been his entire time in the "esport" scene. You don't keep up an act for over a decade.
i dont play this nor tf2 or csgo, thought this thing was something special but seems its not if even csgo has it
Yeah the idea can seem peculiar at first ( but literally everyone has a cellphone nowadays ) and can also be rather easily circumvented, but it's a nuisance which should hinder smurfs/account boosters quite a big deal.
It was first introduced in CSGO as "Prime Matchmaking", seems it had good results there for Valve to decide widening it to Dota 2 .

Valve met with the Chinese creators to see if they can cooperate (read: hire them), but both parties decided that for a variety of reasons it's best to do their own thing.
