Am I missing out on a gem of a title? |
I got ~120 hours out of it. So at least for me it was not a waste.
I still hope for some awesome content mods, when the fucking Creation Kit get released. Are there any news about it even?
Bethesda really is fucking their customers this time, more than before.

Not really... if one is impressed with the announcement and liked the game it is not that idiotic to buy the season pass before they increase the price.
Something else if you are just doing it because of the price alone.
I bought it back at release since I had 'free' money and I knew/thought I was going to eventually get the 'story' DLC anyway judging by my past purchases of TES and Fallout games.
It's sad that I don't really love the game as some of the others in the TES or Fallout world, but at 190 hours I also can't say that I haven't gotten my money out of it and that I didn't enjoy it at all. If I didn't already own the season pass then I wouldn't have bought it after playing. Think at this time I would have just waited year or two down the line to get the whole package for 10/15 bucks.
Would have helped the game if they released the MOD tools a bit faster!

I mean, if they really felt like they were releasing enough content to be worth $50, they'd make season pass owners pay for it over the cost of the season pass regardless. (See Borderlands 2 with the headhunter packs and psycho pack) This smells like a marketing ploy to get a shit ton of season passes sold before March 1st tbh.

Then again they may release as much stuff as in the previous titles (if they do 5 fully fledged DLCs like in NV and FO3 (4 I think?)) it's surely worth it. I will wait and get it later down the line, as always. |
In russia it's 32EUR for DS3+season pass. Which is more tolerable, although it's still probably one of the most expensive games I bought. | Made that deal for TW3, would do it for DS3 though but ru keys are probably locked there, or will be

It's still same subID as other regions, so it wont be locked (that's pretty much why I prepurchased it already to "seal the deal" so to speak, before they'd lock it down to different subID for cheaper territories).
Edit: Noticed you said "keys". I am not talking about RU keys, but purchasing on RU steam.

Snagged the Season Pass for £18 before it was out of stock on Gaming Dragons, now keystores already raised their prices even though it's price only goes up after March 1st.

Thats so much bullshit, i get it when a game costs 50 bucks. I see the work behind it in crafting a story, creating assets and audio files and so on. But charging the same amount again just for throwing some scripts and assets together isnt worth it.

60$ worth of DLC implies that it's as much content/work as the main game was, so they'll have like 200 people working on DLC for the next 2 or 3 years to justify that price? I don't think so.

More like 20 people for 3 month and thats it. I bet the majority is allready onto the next Elder Scrolls or whatever is next. Hell, all the DLC shit could allready be finished but who knows.
Best example is GTA V, they release regular content but a close look into the files shows that most of them are allready be done since early 2014.
I seriously cant care less for FO4, but seeing that all the idiots are running to *insert onlinetrader* just to get it cheap now makes me sick. There will be no change in the future, it just gets worse and worse.

Pete Hines always seems to give dickish responses but I guess his excuse is its his personal twitter account and not the official Bethesda one.

Are you some sort of special harry ? I wasnt reacting to your post, just expressing my view on the situation and know what, thats this thread is made for.
Also good for you if it makes you happy, do i care ? No
Also you should get your facts straight, one example is Lowriders DLC which last edit date was january 2014. But this doesnt really belong here.
My point is that they charge the same amount of money for way less work.

That's not a "view" on things, but some random crap you post about a game you "didn't care about" and obviously only post to piss off those that certainly did get the cash back they put in Disregarding your first line, since it's plain childish. What else should I think if you post "those idiots only care about getting it for a cheap price on keysites", the only one who posted that was me. Tell me your intention.

Obviously you do, why would you reply then?

Crazy, one DLC that had one or another asset being dated back to January (in what relation is to be decided), big deal, especially if most of the things are new anyway Try harder.

That's finally some proper argument (yet not necessarily true, because you don't know the span of the Content, neither do we), but lacks any source and value that you used for shitposting instead. So you're either very bad at bringing points across, or you really don't care, but then the question is left what you want to achieve here anyway apart from stirring up.

I could have made this post also in another thread, but no other developer did what happend here, therefore this is the right place.
The point is that instead of rushing out to buy the SP now, should be to boycott it in the first place. This is what makes me sick, the moneywhoring of the companys not only Bethesda but they stick out the most (remember charging money for mods).
Also im not saying anything about getting it cheap on keysites, everything would be fine if they would stick to the original price.
And i still dont care if you like the season pass and FO4 or not, it doesnt matter at all as its not the point.
And still, the Lowrider DLC is only one of them. They are more ... Im not saying all of the DLCs are allready made, but the majority of it was (even VIP update).
Now lets move on here, no need for anymore bashing.
//EDIT
So, what the point in my GTA Post ? I know what i bought way before as i allready played the PS3 version. So what now ?
Still happy about it, as R* havent charged a single DLC since release and now take a look at what theyve added ! (For free)

One Elder Scrolls VI please.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

" General stability and performance improvements "
I hate vague patch notes.
Did they ever fix the performance? I haven't played since launch and the city and many indoor areas used to tank my frames to 40 or even lower sometimes.

More information on Fallout 4 DLC, Creation Kit release/mods and Survival Mode - GameInformer interview
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/473mrl/todd_howard_gives_more_information_on_fallout_4/
Quote: | TL;DR: Highlights
Three news projects being worked on by BGS; 'aren't all the same scale, but they are longer term'.
Fallout 4 sold more digital copies than retail on day-one.
Todd Howard had 'one big idea' during development that didn't make it into the main game; too big for DLC.
Fallout 4 DLC team is only part of the main-game team.
Automatron has a 'little quest line'; 'kill robots, get their parts, build your own’. 'The robot building is really deep. It’s great.'
Wasteland Workshop; 'You can build your own arenas, capture animals, and also build other things.'
Far Harbor is a big new landmass.
DLC betas will last a month before being publicly released to test various features that may or may not make it into the final version.
Survival Mode; 'We’re doing things like you can’t save, it only saves your game when you sleep. You can’t fast travel. There’re all of these diseases. 'We want the combat to feel different, as opposed to just being a bullet sponge.'
Estimate release for the Creation Kit in April, between DLC #1 and #2. At least a month later for Xbox One and a month after that for Playstation 4
