Just installed this to check how the "updated" version ran. Still have to bump down shadowmap size to high, but from there on it seems to be constant 60 with everything else maxed out.
Also found another effect from the enhanced edition, some of the taller bush just warping out of existence when you run through them, techland pls

That's strange. You really sure you didn't install any mod, for example to remove the Chromatic Abberation?
You can also try to verify the integrity of your files in Steam. Or you might try to first change the language for the game to something else, and then back again after it downloaded the files.
Had some very rare cases myself where something got corrupted and was fixed that way.

i verified the cache, deleted the data3.pak, verified again, restarted steam, restarted system, redownloaded the game, changed the game and steam to admin privileges, tried the safemode, changed language --> every time the same issue and no, i didnt install any mods

Alright. Will have to deal with it, then, as I am enjoying the game.
Was afraid it was some driver issue affecting performance, as with the latest nVidia batch I now drop to 20 FPS in Guild Wars 2.

That's why i still stick with the older 359.06 drivers.
Tried the newer ones but had several system freezes and other problems.
Did some searching and other people had more problems with those new drivers than previously too.

Yeah, noticed latest sets of drivers have some weird behavior. Using 361.91 now, but since gaming sessions are limited for me nowadays, I can cope.

For some reason... the world / map in the expansion isn't as immersive and interesting as the main game.

It's a bit more empty with open areas between every hotspot so a lot of traveling and with the denser zombie hordes being everywhere it can get a bit annoying even if you use the new buggy, especially as you start running into the special zombie creatures and the night hunter variants where the buggy by itself won't really be enough, at least until it's upgraded a bit.

Indeed, JB!
You helped me identifying an issue: in this rural area there are MORE zombies than in the city one. Makes absolutely NO sense.
In my last gaming session I was trying to get into some "hotspot" for some quest and decided to kill some zombies for fun, nearby. Problem was, they kept coming. Out of nowhere. Endlessly! Got bored, really.

Its Dead Island on steroids and parkout elements,if you liked DI then you will most likely have a lot of fun with this here

Dying Light runs fine but I get a random error with the The Following Enhanced Edition. Something I'm missing here? Installed the latter + update and copied crack over from the update.
Does it have to be installed over the original game?
