I would think it would be classified as an adventure game, but I kind of get the impression it's more like a visual novel except in 3D.

Yup, I've purposely stayed away from gameplay videos so far 'cause I must remain ignorant, but it seems intriguing indeed.
As always though with such narrative-based titles the quality of the dialogues/likeability of the characters will basically make the game (the recent Oxenfree for example didn't work well for me..too much swag to handle). Let's hope the sassy lady on the phone doesn't turn out to be too annoying xD |

Yeah, I stopped watching after a few minutes. He just found a second cache and there was a cave. I stopped watching at that point so I didn't spoil any more of it

I was waiting forever for this to come out until I saw he was slapping a 20 dollar price tag on it for 6 hours worth of content, with an excuse of "oh we're a small team boohoo". Fuck off, Splash Damage made Rebel Galaxy with 2 people, maybe 3 cause I heard they outsourced some model work. 20 dollars and well over 25 hours of gameplay.
Contrast was about 6 hours too and they only charged 15.

...but as long as the story delivers, it can look like shit all it wants, after all, your not gonna be looking at the view for very long, with a play time of around 6 hours  |
The comment was not on LOOKS, but on the sub-par apparent optimization considering the look of the game. It's obviously VERY far from "next-gen" to justify those framerates.
And tbh, I like how it looks. |

I don't think any amount of optimisation can remove the inherent issues of Unity. The game could be stick figures on a black background and it would still run at 15fps.
