well ur chip is not like the 4790k ur pretty much stuck at 4.6 right? as 4770 dont often like to go further and are high in volts to get them there.
Nope. Mines will do 4.8 no problems, had it at that for months before I got my new setup. I chose to knock it back to 4.6, as the difference was very marginal at best, and also to prolong the life a little further. I'm on water and never had a problem with clocking the 4770k, (on both my MSI and ASUS boards) despite it being a bastard chip. I got lucky with the bin I guess

That is pretty neat then I guess from what I had read it seemed the 4770's were stuborn at higher clocks, another good batch no doubt
