I'll probably pick it up at launch, goddamnit they got me.. Seems like Destiny but in a modern setting, which I think is cool... I do enjoy the mechanics of the Dark Zone as well.
And I'm just casual enough where it won't get boring too quickly.
Wow I'm really impressed after playing this for about 4 hours. I can see the similarities to Destiny, it feels fresh, plays great and looks great especially considering the downgraded visuals fiasco. Managed to complete the single player missions and a bunch of random objectives and explored. Unlocked The Dark Zone and will be venturing there after work later provided the Beta hasn't ended! Definitely my new Destiny and definitely instabuying.
Meh, looks almost the same. Definitely seem to have cranked down the texture quality a bit. But mind you the trailer has trailer like movements which is smooth and slow, the gameplay from the beta is erratic and quickly ( guy is running ) so that definitely causes more compression in the video.
Since The Division's beta there's a lot more information on the web about how the game will work and what skills and abilities you'll have access to. Rather than search through every preview and forum thread, Miodec has created a tool, a skill calculator, that lets you learn about every talent and skill that was revealed in the beta all in one place. As well as seeing the base skills, you can access what modifiers are available for the skill and what buffs it receives when it reaches its master level.
