Actually, there were 3 releases on PC of Onimusha Warlords. The first one (the best one IMO) was a clone release by some chinese group named SESSION or something, cant remember the name, I remember downloading it of sharereactor (those were the days...), then INVFX released their dumb fuck version, which was ok. The last release is a lame rip of the actual retail game, without the FMV and lots of spoken dialogue, released by TECHNIC I believe. The first one is hard to get, but it was amazing, an exact duplicate of the original. |
what is different about the INVFX version for the SESSION version? the invfx is 4CDs just like on the game company website who published it...

Well, the first release's CD1 was a CLONE, which may mean little for any other game, but this game has an update that makes it perfect to play on ATI cards. There is no crack or no-cd for this version, so a clone is the only way you can go if you have an ATI card. That is why the first release was better (and the only version for me). Oh, and the group may not be called SESSION, might have been SHOWCASE or something, cant remember.

So are you saying the ATI patch will not work properly on the INVFX release?

AFAIK, the patch or few that got out didn't help the bugs. I think have the session release, tho it could be INVFX's...can't remember atm.
