a good 4k tv for 800 euros? double it and you are in the game

and do you have any 4k stuff? you dont have a gfx card with native hdmi 2.0 so u are fucked, and dp is only on very expensive tvs. and you dont have real 4k video material. gaming doesnt work well too cause as i said no gfx cards with real hdmi 2.0 output present.

would go for a good 500euros fullhd panel, should be enough for the next 3-4 years till native 4k stuff is out

as i said: would be reasonable to buy a good fullhd tv which has everything you need and you are fine the next years. would wait till 4k is established (and that takes a lot of time, even native fullhd isnt spread through the normal tv stations completely till now)

first 4k bluray players should be available soon (will cost about 500 euros...), asweel as some ultra hd blurays from sony coming soon. but thats just a waste of money atm. ofc you can buy a 1500euro 4k tv right now together with the 500euros player. but till its usefull you will get better stuff for way less money

And if you wait, then OLED and HDR could be finally more affordable and established. HDR also comes with higher bitdepth content, so no more pesky banding.
