I love the fast travel in this game now that I actually understand it. Reminds me of gothic how you find the stones around except here you can place the stones anywhere you want and warp to that.
I'd recommend finding some asap as I was getting real tired of running around the same area. First couple I found were these. Spoilered just incase but it's just a vague description of some locations. Nothing specific.
Spoiler:
Underneath the pawn guild, in the shadow fort and at some dudes cave near a stone henge lookin place east of the main city.

Were you throwing your pawns occasionally and he learned the "strategy" from you? Funny shit regardless.
melee 2h really sucks, by the time you raise the weapon, nothing left to attack so i ditched warrior for assassin; it would have been cool if you could switch classes any time
One maelstrom can pretty much decimate anything in the vacinity....who needs roll when you can decimate shit in 20secs as a mage =)
Er.. when you play as a melee char?
Yep, some evasive move that you don't have to unlock first is really missing. Doesn't have to be a roll, as i can't imagine someone in reallife "spamming" that in a fast manner.
But something like sidestepping for example.
Also does anyone found a place for a cheap key? Cheapest so far is 10,65 € on Plati.
You can switch classes any time....you visit vocation NPCs..
Set a teleport nearby and use it whenever you want having a second teleport placed in the area you teleport from.

Not every action game ever made needs to be a shitty rollfest.
If you're a Fighter/Mystic Knight, you block. If you're a spellcaster, you're supposed to use positioning to your advantage. If you're Strider/Ranger/(Magick) Archer, you CAN roll.

Well buddy, if your example is a level 62 endgame armoured char banging the hell out of a chimera that i had a very though time defeating with my level 12 party... then by all means you must be right !!!
Ill keep my opinion that a sidestep or a slow roll would be admissible, like in a shitty rollfest game, like say the witcher 3 or dark souls, thank you.
Or maybe that would mean too much buttons for you to press? Block, Roll, Strike heavy strike light? Just keep practicing on that xbone controller!

Dragon’s Dogma is a great game that feels unique among fantasy RPGs thanks to its blend of mechanics and influences. Its flaws - repetitive quests and a somewhat aimless structure - don’t block out its enormous strengths. Its core combat is great, and fighting the game’s array of giant beasts is some of the most fun I’ve ever had in an RPG. And this PC version is absolutely the best way to play it.

+ Fast-paced combat with strategic depth
+ Excellent, creative boss battles with big monsters
+ Terrific PC port

- Mostly dull story
- Repetitive quests
8.5/10
I agree with those points. Hopefully a sequel will come out and hopefully at least the main story will then be more engaging.
Haha yeah, I'm still at the very (very) beginning, but can already see that the writing is all over the place unfortunately. I'll just ignore it and focus on the combo exploration-monster killing which shouldn't disappoint.
