Am playing this now with letterbox disabled, on chapter 3 now. My god, what a terrible framerate, in some places it drops to like 15 fps and almost unplayable, not sure how to rate it yet.

So as well as being for cinematic reasons, letterbox was initially used for performance?

yep, that was actually the main reason, even in letterbox the current gen console versions ran less than smooth, i dont even wanna imagine what it would be like without the borders.

Well they gave the people what they wanted. No doubt it helped sell extra copies of the game too.

The other day somewhere on the internet I read France or some crap leaked the Game of the Year Edition with all the DLCs included. I'm really not kidding, but I don't remember anything but that so take it as you wish.

how much ram do you got in your PC... not GPU one but the normal one ... after i upgraded my PC with 16 gigs ... this game worked smooth with no dips or lag ...
talk about amazing port  |
