Spoiler: | |
Took some screenshots of various time-of-day conditions, I kinda like how it looks though there's some glitches with the grass where it sometimes flickers on and off depending on the camera position.

I dont know. It's just more blue, i think we've had that in like a trillion of those ReShade mods before, no?

I think he went over the top with the blue, the leaves are more blue than green, the ground comes of as very blue'ish too. Though my monitor calibration might be off. I do think the original game is too yellow though. If this was Photoshop i would put vanilla first then problaby fade in this mod to around 60% to get a bit of both |
True but right now the transition between cutscene and actual game is a lot less noticeable. So there's clearly some differences there that reshade can't do. |
I found more modded/vanilla comparisons, out of curiosity:

The altered lighting is kind of a mixed bag in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of color grading/desaturation (very noticeable in the swamps), but in other circumstances/places the result isn't bad. It's..different, all down to personal taste though, as always.
It's a shame that as of now there's no way to unleash the true beast inside the engine (which, make no mistake, is still damn sexy as it is), but maybe things could really change once the Redkit is out..time will tell^^

I wanted to just leave this here: http://fmf.fm/programme/66
but since the English version of the site is crappy - Witcher 3 music some Polish orchestra called AUKSO (rather a smaller one, not full-blown with 100+ musicians). No mention of Percival yet, but I'd assume they will be there as well.
The whole event is getting more known in Europe each year for movies with live music (Indiana Jones in 2016, Star Trek this year, Gladiator some time back) and other big concerts like this years music from TV series with their composers and close to 200 musicians and choir.

Looks pretty cool but is it worth it on 2gb cards?
Edit tried it myself and it doesn't make a difference in vram usage at all but then Witcher 3 doesn't really use much vram anyway.

Looks ugly as hell to me. Green, film like, filter on the swamps. Completely unrealistic lightning on far away mountain ranges and bloom everywhere.

wtf are you talking about the texture mod doesn't touch the lightning at all just some minor stuff:
- Rocks (almost all)
- Spruces
- Wood Crates
- Sacks (primary)
- Ceramic Roof
- Checkered Floor
those where really low res and look a lot better now, if you are talking about the recently updated super turbo whatever lightning mod, yes that one sucks i really don't like it.
I only use the Swamp zone lighting mod: www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/521/
cause it really improves that zone a lot and looks much better then vanilla or the swamp lightning in that super turbo mod.

Prefer the non-HD version. Rocks don't look that grainy when I look at them IRL either.

Wasn't really impressed either. I would say it's more a different look, not a better one.

Ehm did you ever see a real rock? the ones behind my house look exactly like this and not like the blurry vanilla mess.

I don't like it. I'd love it, if it wouldn't change the tone. Even the change in color of the shingles is terrible for me

My rocks are definitely blurry. Might be a regional thing.

Should I buy the season pass from steam or should I buy the two expansions separately?

It's clear you need to buy some glasses, non-peasant ones preferably. So you don't percieve your world in 720p

My rocks don't have anti-aliasing. I hate those sharp edges. They so immersion breaking.

So I had the chance to play this on my buddy's PS4 - dafuq is wrong with performance, lots of stuttering and those frames aren't quite playable frames.

'twas just a short observation.
On topic tho, started playing the expansion and it's looking promising so far, lots of "?" added - more to explore!
