game is fun so far, though I haven't played it that much yet. just did the available training chapters after the arrival in paris.
but did anyone got his right analogue stick working correctly? I've got a ps2-pad with usb adapter and tried to assign the buttons as supplied here but I can't seem to assign the right analogue stick correctly to change target in 'lock on'-mode. the translation of the actions in the game is pretty bad, so I'm not sure if I did it correctly. this is my layout so far:

Even with high resolution it still lacks the post process effects like depth of field, found in the PS2 version. It's a good thing i'm playing it on PS2 Very Happy

trust me even without any ppefx it loox twise better on 1024* rez than on ps2

Ok, so i guess it's a matter of taste then. I personally prefer the post process effects instead of a higher resolution. Also the water effects are not displayed properly on PC ( see the scene where you first play with Jaques in the past ). I was wondering, do the people with high end GPUs get the depth of field effects in the game or they are simply not implemented..?

@White_Knight, Warlords was also released on PC, i don't know about the 2-nd thou..

I just compared the two versions 2 hours ago (ps2 and pc).
Depth of field was implemented on PS2 because the console doesnt have the power to handle that much detail in one scene (i.e arc du triomphe level) so for instance, when you first arrive with samanosuke to france, and get out of the alley, while on ps2 you see a blurred arc do triomphe background jpg, on PC you see the entire 3d background as if you were there.
To sum it up, PC version is just made to handle more processing power, hence the aussence of depth of field and all those ploys used to embelish the lacking PS2 version.
Also, I just played the mt. hiei level with jaques on my PC, and the water effect is AMAZING, so the effect is there, you must have missed it.

Thanks for the reply Solid-Snake....was Warlords released with the same name b/c I cant find a reference to a PC version anywhere....do u know the release date? ALl I could find reference to for PC release was Onimusha - Blade Warriors which was a 3D fighting game like Mortal Kombat and such...not single player with story like Warlords or Demon Siege...

Edit: Now i understand why i was confused...the inVFX release includes the game description for Onimusha Blade Warriors which is a 3d fighting game, whereas the actual release is Onimusha Warlords...dumb fucks got the nfo wrong...oh well, now its clear...there was a PC release of Onimusha Warlords...dont think there was ever PC release of Onimusha 2 however

Actually, there were 3 releases on PC of Onimusha Warlords. The first one (the best one IMO) was a clone release by some chinese group named SESSION or something, cant remember the name, I remember downloading it of sharereactor (those were the days...), then INVFX released their dumb fuck version, which was ok. The last release is a lame rip of the actual retail game, without the FMV and lots of spoken dialogue, released by TECHNIC I believe. The first one is hard to get, but it was amazing, an exact duplicate of the original.

This game is really shitty on pc. If you can keep up with washed up graphics and bloody controls then this is for you = 1% of gaming d00dz . Its hard enough to do new moves because all the moves and combos are given from the ps2 version and it shows just how shitty this port is.

1 and 2 are still amazing.
