The movie was excellent, the scenery was amazing, and his journey was just unbelievable. What a man goes through for revenge.
With that said, my one gripe is..

I had a hard time believing it was possible to survive with the injuries he sustained and the environment he was in. Infection, frostbite, dehydration, starvation, blood loss, THE NECK WOUND, THE FALL FROM A FOOKING CLIFF, etc.
Also the ending kinda fizzles out.
Haha my only gripe was that i was hoping on forehand for a good Di Caprio performance so he can finally net his deserved oscar already.

The problem for me was that because i thought this for the whole fucking movie, i saw him moan and groan the whole fucking time crawling in a hut with the damp of his own piss and shit doing the most unbelievable things while still moaning and groaning and it just became distracting. Felt like he was overdoing his part just for the oscar and especially his droopy face on the end had a "pls gimme a oscar" look.
@bani789 Totally agree, I always remember the Bear Grylls video where he said if he doesn't take his wet clothes off after crossing a russian lake, he'd be dead in a few minutes
Leo had his water moments in the movie Other than that it was just brilliant, the scenery and shots were absolutely mindblowing. His Trapper performance was on point and the story of his survival kept the tension going with a few moments to stop and stare at the beauty of nature. Lived up to the "hype" for me, didn't bother watching much of the Trailers except the very first one for a few good seconds, I was definitely rewarded for that.
Unless the cinema release was edited in some way the bear scene was not as bad as I was expecting. It drooled over him, flung him around several times and yeah I guess you could call it molested but rape? When was this?
It was nice looking but extremely derivative, predictable and a bit dull. Never felt DiCaprio was a great actor - just a competent one. This changes nothing.
