But both still stand head and shoulders above most series out there.

They are the same, yet different.
I slightly liked S1 better... but here's the the thing: I seen that one in one go. That makes most shows better. The first episodes felt weaker since I still needed to get used to the new setting and characters and the pause every week doesn't really help. Fargo's pace is a bit slower than most (you get more out of the characters).
The further we got, the better it was. It has always been on the level of Fargo tho.

| Spoiler: | I had the same feeling, the "execution" scene was very ambiguous on purpose. Bird view, classic camera cut..but no bang was heard. If I had to bet I'd also say she's still alive (and ready to redeem herself in the finale perhaps? Time will tell!)
(it's Fargo though, often logic doesn't really apply and the show is very unpredictable - which is great mind you xD). |

Holy shit that was entertaining!
| Spoiler: | Dodd was fucking hilarious as the captive. I loled when she zapped him and stabbed him! His expressions and reactions were great. Shame he died though. I quite liked the character. I kinda had a feeling Hanzee would shoot him. Cant believe Ed was hanging for that long and lived lol. His face! Hanzee will be back and he will be up against Milligan and his accomplice as well as the cops! |

Holy jesus Hanzee christ, the amount of unforgettable moments in the last episode alone was incredible.
Comedy, drama, tension, superb cinematography and acting, rock-solid writing, it's not over yet, but definitely is the best show of the year for me too.  I'm personally liking this season more the first one, which I thought it was very difficult to achieve but here we are.

Season 02, Episode 09 – “The Castle”

Jesus fucking christ. Was that the best episode no the best thing Ive seen on TV this year or what!?
| Spoiler: | From the awesome intro with a narrator which apparently was Martin Freeman, reading from 'The Big Book of True Crime in the Midwest', through the, as always stylish split screen scenes, excellent one-liners, lol moments of the undercover cop discussions, awesome shoot out at the motel with the split second muzzle flash freezes to the epic headshot that Bear took bathed in the light of the very much unexpected scene of the motherfucking UFO, this episode was just perfect. So much happened in 45 minutes and as always I was glued to my TV. Goddamn.
I was in awe that Hanzee stabbed Floyd. What a calculating bad ass motherfucker!
Like a true grizzly, Bear took bullets and still managed to tackle Lou! And its probably safe to say that the UFO saved Lou from being mauled to death lol.
And then Mike turns up late for the party! And says 'okay then' lol.
And Lou still doesnt know about his wife!
Best line: Its just a flying sauce Ed, we gotta go! Peggy! Haha what a legend! 
And another glimpse of the UFO in the distance before the credits. Awesome stuff. |
If they top this episode in the finale I will be amazed. Roll on next week!
