After well over 5 years of faithful service, I'm afraid it's time to let you go. You're old and lack front USB 3.0 ports and somewhere you've developed a grounding issue which just annoys me.
So, meet my new friends. Dr. Jekyll,
And Mr. Hyde.
It's a great case (Corsair Air 540 for those that don't know it), but I have been spoiled by NZXT. The layout is great, cable management is great (lots of places to tie cables into) but there are little details that I know NZXT would have done right. Like holes in front of the PCI thumbscrews; you can't unfasten them the first time without a screwdriver. Or the fact that some of the thumbscrews aren't in 100% straight.
But I wanted to try this form factor out and NZXT don't have one. For full ATX motherboards, there's not a whole lot of choice anyway; it was between this, Lian Li's PC-V33 and the Mercury S8. The latter I just couldn't justify with myself; it's a little too expensive to get in Europe and it's a little larger than I'd like. The Lian Li I decided to skip because the airflow is a bit mediocre in that one.
Big plus side is the massive amount of space for a radiator at the top though
I agree With you Werelds - its not very big at all, wide - yes..but sure as hell not big. Best case ive ever had. Love the airflow and excellent way of hiding harddrives. (ive got all my 6 ssds on the right side, but there was actually just room enough for 5 so one of them unfortunatly have to lay abit loose there...but still, no visible drives on the left side.
Trying to decide where to put the fan that comes with my new gfx card... probably at the top of the case. Cant decide
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
I'm no expert Paul, but it sure as hell looks sexy ..and classy . Congrats!
Mine is still the ghetto Coolermaster Haf old-style, a plastic dusty monolith of ugliness (though as long as it doesn't make the components overheat, everything is fine xD)
