I just finished the game and it has one of the worst endings I've seen in a long time.
 Spoiler: | After the climactic fight with Di Ravello, Rico simply shoots him and the game cuts to the credits. No celebratory cutscene with the surviving characters and no interaction with Tom Sheldon, even though Di Ravello reveals he's the one responsible for recruiting Rico after his parents were killed. |

That's a bit anti-climactic yeah, although for the part with Sheldon it's hinted at in one of the later missions that Rico already knows about that.

Haven't played it yet, waiting for it to be cheaper, but I don't think the story is the main attraction of the game

Even on a 980Ti? I know SLI isn't entirely compatible (yet?) but I would have thought even a single 980Ti would be enough for the game outside of perhaps 4K resolutions and once the memory leaks are fixed or at least improved that shouldn't be much of a issue either as the game isn't that graphically advanced.
(Even on the highest settings the LOD distance is extremely short and stuff like shadow detail disappears after a ridiculously short distance along with small clutter objects and other effects.)
EDIT: Well I guess what is considered good performance is highly individual.

EDIT: And apparently SLI / CF shouldn't be bothered by what game engine a game uses, though it might bother the driver engineer who needs time to set up a correct profile.

SLI seems to be total shit these days. Im getting on single overclocked 980ti 60 fps most of the time maxed out @ 3440x1440 (SMAA), can drop to low 50s on very heavy scenes, but i can live with that considering what resolution im running.

Again, the issue is the memory clock bug. This is crippling performance by at least 10% on nvidia cards and you'll notice the slowdowns happen when you change direction and what not.
My single 980 could easily run at max setting 1440p above 60 fps if it weren't for this issue.

Might as well wait for the first patch, hopefully it'll sort out some of the bugs and performance issues the game has. Crack it now and that'll just give those Denuvo bastards a chance to fix it for the patch.

Decided to wait instead of pushing the "awesome button" but eh it would have been faster and ended almost the same way it seems.
Now to move on to the (non-existent) expansion where Fraulein Fuhrer (Or whatever, I never recorded her name.) picks up and continues the bavarium research and conquest of the islands because she seemed pretty unstable so who knows, though I still believe Mario (That's your brother in this game, the mechanic, not a Italian plumber.) was the mastermind behind it all to lure Rico home so they could start a brother-on-brother (Or was it and?) repair shop, Rico etc or what it's name was said to be during one of the early missions.

Sorry for the radio silence - we've just been super busy trying to solve as many reported issues as possible. We hope to have some positive information next week particularly about improving load times and online leaderboard issues as well as a bunch of crash bugs.
