true that
but i just don't trust it in the long run even though it might be cool now .... with my backlog i am nowadays just trying to finish first bioshock and i fear that by the time i get to play these denuvo protected games , there will be similar problems like there are now with securom, starforce, tages,.... on Win 10

.... but maybe i am just too paranoid - cracking a lot of my legit games(uplay, origin and even some steamones) anyway even now). If there is a game i am thinking of buying right now with denuvo ... it will definitely be Mirrors Edge 2, but i get a strange feeling that it will be failure

i can wait and by the time I get to these games - denuvo will be history and there will be new company and new "uncrackable" protection from the ex-SonyDADC crew

This is worrying me lots more then cracking denuvo, more games using it the more insane buggy games.

I considered buying newest Batman even after it got cracked, but it seems Denuvo ruining it's games with bugs and issues.
Denuvo will be cracked, but game fixing is another story.

Did a little research and it seems that it's related to Denuvo activation limit. Checked with the seller and no one else reported that (more than 100 ppl bought the steam access).

hehe now I'm researching this out of curiosity because both Phantom Pain and Mad Max still work flawlessly on other shared accounts Smile bought JC3 from 2 more sellers and it gives me the same error Laughing at least with one of them I got additional 30 games on different accounts Very Happy
But I'm still feeling that this was a badly spent 0.75 € Okay

Edit: can someone, who has the game, can PM me and try to log to one of the shared accounts and see if it will run? for science Laughing

Doubtful. The check will run against whatever account you're using. Using a different steam account would instantly trigger this.

You can't, it forces itself to go online all the time. This is why their stupid leaderboards are not worth it, this is why yet again a cracked version would be superior. Because they're so lazy they can't add a permanent offline setting.

I just blocked it via the Windows firewall (Outgoing), it takes about 10 or so seconds from the main menu before the connection fails and you'll be offered to play the game offline. Smile

I saw a post on the Steam forum where the guy claimed to get better performance by adding to the launch options /borderless /windowed, then going in game and turning off fullscreen and enabling vsync. I tried this myself (in addition to playing the game offline) and I think it helps. Explosions are no longer dropping me down to 20 fps and the game overall feels smoother.

However I saw one person who said doing this made his performance worse, so I guess it's on a case by case basis.

For some people playing the game windowed or borderless seems to help with stuttering although I don't know why that is, technically fullscreen should be the preferred and I think it's even required for games that utilize SLI or Crossfire if you want that to work as intended though this particular game doesn't seem to be very multi-GPU friendly.
(I prefer borderless myself but since I'm downsampling via AMD VSR - and I think DSR has the same restriction. - fullscreen is needed for it to be scaled correctly, really hoping Durante will someday finish GeDoSaTo's DX11 compatibility and preferably x64 compatibility too.)

EDIT: Could be related to VSync as I think that works differently in windowed mode vs. fullscreen or it could be the pre-rendered frames limit but I do not know for certain.

I know nothing about the exact technical aspects but I'm fairly certain that since Windows 8 the desktop uses some sort of vsync akin to triple buffering. So if the game is in borderless the ingame vsync which uses double buffering no longer causes drops to 30 when FPS goes below 60 so the game runs smoother. Dunno what other effects borderless might have on performance or input lag but in my case it definitely makes the game run better.

EDIT: Actually I believe Windows had that feature since Aero was introduced.

It works by placing Steam itself into offline mode. Actually helps a bit with stuttering too.

This seriously leaves a sour taste in my mouth. After how glorious JC2 was...this is disappointing.

Correct me if im wrong but in the "glorious" JC2 you could just aim in the general direction of the enemy and your crosshair would just stick to the target ? And its the same in JC3 ? + it would take some serious brain damage to actually die in this game ?

You can fall like 500 meters without dying. Which is actually a good thing for once as all the mayhem that happens would make it extremely boring if you died in 3 shots(takes like 300 Laughing).

Pretty much the same. I died more often than I have from enemies while trying to grasp the wingsuit.
