the times were press copies were not protected at all are over (got my hands on one about 10 years ago, that exe worked fine for the retail version as crack too. had some shady unusual protection ), if they are too lazy to watermark every copy (dunno how and if steam supports that from itself, most likely it doenst) somehow to identify it its a good way to protect it). but we know nothing atm, might be a nice surprise if thats the case. and if not? meh who cares, i have time to wait
I am having high expectations after Mad Max. That turned out to be a flawless PC port and runs like butter on the highest settings even on my old GTX 660. It should have received
better reviews just for that mere fact alone.
Avalanche is one of the few developers left that still give a shit about their PC audience. I hope that doesn't change with this game.

As awful as it may sound, GiantBomb died with Ryan. The fact that they're now owned by Jeff Gerstmann's former employer, Viacom, didn't help their reputation either. And it shows.
Jeff hardly even does Quick Looks anymore and the other "personalities" they employ are beyond obnoxious and not particularly knowledgeable when it comes to video games in general. I don't know what i find more grating. Their awful banter or the equally as awful gameplay interactions.
I don't know even understand who their target audience is at this point. Their videos are neither reviews nor Let's Plays. They're neither informative nor particularly entertaining.
Alex was always there, and Austin is basically Klepek 2.0, so it kind of evens out since Patrick left for Kotaku
I know Alex was always there, but Vinny wasn't stuck with just him and Patrick before. Vinny was the best part of GB and they decided to stick him with the 2 worst parts of it.
Strange...a couple days ago there was a scan of the game box and it had the Gameworks logo on the back. But in one of Pey's videos he shows the options menu and there aren't any Gameworks settings.
I don't have very high expectations for this game. After playing a bit of Mad Max it's pretty obvious Avalanche basically was stretched thin developing both these games at the same time and I suspect both suffer from that fact. Just as with mad max I think we'll see a lot of stuff in this game that was a cool concept but was poorly implemented due to lack of development time.
Two separate studios though, one in Sweden and one in the US so I'm pretty sure (But I could be wrong.) the projects were developed separately although both are using their in-house game engine so there might have been some shared code around that.
