Eh, no need to go in so aggressively, I already told you I can't change your mind but to come here and talk nuts about it is pretty pointless dude.
"And you obviously didn't play Black Ops 3 so you should also have no opinion on it."
You didn't play Just Cause 3, so you should have no opinion on it. Done deal. I didn't reach out anywhere, or should I just be an ass and don't even reply to you instead? You even went the long mile and made a screenshot, clap clap, I don't fucking care.
That's not negative, that's just straight out crap you posted, if you were as interested as others to "criticize a game properly" you'd see what you wrote isn't critique. But what did I expect, a few lines already make you feel offended, best to just stop coming here while you're at it
You're not going to stop me from coming here so why bother posting that? I played every other Avalanche game and they sucked balls and that gives me the right to critique Just Cause 3 if I want to. You use the word offended but it was you that got offended because there was one person in your little world that didn't like a game you did. A more accurate word would be butthurt is how you've reacted to someone ele's opinion. I hope you're like 12.
I wasn't even talking to you you got butthurt because I had sometihng negative to say about a game. You're being a dick and I've seen you do it to other people to but it's not going to work with me.
Also you haven't played Just Cause 3 so who are you to say it's great? Done deal.

Wow that escalated quickly, but no, I'm not going to be personal like you. No it does not give you the right, just like you told me it doesn't give me the right to criticize COD BO III. No I'm not offended, just surprised someone can be that dense to actually think what they said was "critique". Whatever floats your boat mate. You've seen it done to others, well that's not really correct, is it? That would require you to read, which you can't even do to a simple reply.
Only insults and yet you ask me if I was 12 years old, can't get a more plain irony than that.
Why should I "stfu" because you went personal? I mean that's -> contradicting, not what I said. What I said was merely a fact. But I hope you edit in more insults so I can see you're totally superior to my argumentation.
@NoSoul Because it was crap, nobody would ever believe that those 2 lines are actually meant to be something more than just a random post.
I can take a lot obviously, if it was any different I wouldn't even bother talking to you, right? Within a handful of posts you already insulted me 5 times, what does that tell about you? Certainly tells me a lot.
Heard it was 37GB install and 2.8gb day one patch.
Please do a review when you have it.
Although I already know your review : "this game rocks, really glad to have bought it etcetcetc".
So I'm not sure I can rely on your reviews anymore because I don't think there is a single game to you that isn't worth buying
I will save you the trouble, don't buy it. Avalanche is an overrated studio. They catch peoples eyes with graphics and long games but they're really just 90% boring repetitive side missions, 10% main missions and almost no story. All flash and no substance. I hope people start catching on to their scam.
Wow guys. Calm down lol.
I had also played this at EGX2015 so I had a good idea what to expect
I see your perspective and you are right. A lot of games are repetitive though and I would say your response equally applies to the Assassin’s Creed franchise too. I got Mad Max and despite it's repetitiveness, I loved it! No I didn't 100% because yes it's long and the sidequests and activities feel like a rinse and repeat affair but I enjoyed what I did play. Avalanche is definitely all about the visuals and I'm sure the graphics alone will sell many copies of Mad Max and Just Cause 3.
So I got the game and the first thing I noticed was there was no official Sony cellophane on the box. Thought that was odd as it's NEVER happened before which made me think it might even be counterfeit or something.
Any way I put the disc in and immediately loaded up the title screen wondering where the installation was. On the title screen you can either sit watching the installer or go play in a sandbox called Boom Island. I spent a good 30 minutes on Boom Island before the game installed so it's pretty cool and better than watching a single installation screen for half an hour lol.
Once the game was installed, I closed it to check for the day one patch but it's not yet available, probably due to the early release. So I'm playing version 1.00. Not sure what bugs, if any I'll encounter but I would think the day one patch will be available in the next few days.
So for 30 minutes you can have fun playing on Boom Island and to be honest I did have fun! Visually the game is gorgeous to look at and framerate is solid on PS4 at least. I guess it's the tutorial and gives you chance to get used to the controls. I had dual handguns and some kind of rifle with unlimited ammo. I also had unlimited grenades.
Theres a bunch of areas but no AI other than some cows lol. There's a couple of buggys to drive around in and you have access to grappling hook, parachute and wingsuit. The fun is in tethering stuff together though, playing with physics and causing explosions! By holding R1 you can connect objects together and then by pressing L1 you can electrify the tethers causing the objects to collide, which has various results depending on what is being tethered to what. Explosive barrels go boom and cannisters fly off in whatever direction they are facing when detonated. You can also shoot and lob grenades at stuff. It's all very entertaining!
After my time in Boom Island I watched the intro before turning the game off to goto work. I'll be playing the actual game when I get back though.
So far so good. It's a Just Cause game on a next gen console. What's not to like?!
Don't mind them, thanks for your insight headshot. Boom Island sounds entertaining, don't think PC is going to use it though Would be a fun feature while installing/unpacking though.
Ok after patching for some reason I have lost the ability to precision aim which is pretty annoying. It worked fine when playing Boom Island during the installation but after patching and starting the actual game, R3 no longer switches to precision aiming and there is no other way to switch to it.
Also there is no run or sprint button which is kinda bothersome. The game is constantly trying to connect to the Just Cause 3 servers and will often disconnect which means the game will freeze on a screen displaying 'disconnected' for several minutes. There's an option to switch to offline mode but that doesn't seem to prevent the issue occurring.
Travelling using the grappling hook/parachute/wingsuit combo is quite tricky and will take some mastering I think. The loading times are also longer than I would like. And once the game got stuck in an infinite loading loop before I had to restart it.
Despite all this I'm happy with the game overall. Rico is great, the dialogue is funny and the world is vast. Here is a short video I made of a rather epic explosion after I tethered an explosive barrel to some explosive spheric building, seriously I couldn't think what to call it lol
Blowing shit up really makes this game and it's quite exciting wondering what else will blow up!
Apparently the lack of precision aiming at the start of the game is due it having to be unlocked as its a gear mod. So I have to complete challenges to earn gears to unlock various mods.
The more I play this game the more I like it. Some of the installations that require destroying are fucking huge!
I also dont see Rico Rodriguez when playing the game. I see Nathan Drake! lol.
Some of Rico's one liners are excellent and timed so well at times lol.
I uploaded a few more videos. Some of the stuff that happens in the game is hilarious and you can spend a lot of time just dicking around with physics, tethering and explosions
Here you see my excellent driving haha.
Here I decided to help a stranded woman whose car had run out of gas. It was pretty amusing.
Here I stole a guys car whilst he was looking at the engine. The car seemed fine to me lol.
Seems like headshot isn't enjoying it as much as he would like "the more I play the more I like it", means that you got disappointed originally I guess.
Which leads to make me think it's a borefest Debating whether or not I should buy it, specially when it's not the best game ever to headshot (don't forget that headshot bought Bloodborne DLC without even finishing the original game ) !
NoSoul is living up to his nickname. Whats so bad about having mindless fun? A huge sandbox game where you are able to be creative combined with blowing shit up is pretty awesome imo. Its what this series is about, most people doesn't expect this game to be more sophisticated!

That's basically all the game is blowing shit up, no one finishes these games because once they get tired of blowing shit up they move on to something else. When someone here finishes this game 100% and proves it I'll say I'm wrong. No one ever will though. And really you're being just like harry insulting me for not liking a game you do. I guess some of you live in countries where freedom of speech don't exist I don't know. Because some of you seem really sensitive to someone simply having a different opinion than you do.
@NoSoul
Learn what insults are dude. Just because you need to be so personal all the time it doesn't mean others are, talk about sensitive. Where did deelix "insult" you other than saying what you expect from this game won't happen? Do you read different posts?
"When someone here finishes this game 100% and proves it I'll say I'm wrong."
Really hope someone does, I'd love seeing you get put back on the ground. I would just suggest going away, since you obviously don't like the game and only want to make it worse for others, no need for that "truth" manipulation.

Haha you make me laugh. I will definitely say I buy too many games and dont have time to play them all and I would say I also have some kind of addiction to buying them and playing the latest one until the next one comes out. I am in somewhat of a viscious circle but meh it is what it is and I am what I am lol.
It's almost the same with me in the last few years..my backlog is endless , but I enjoyed it still...and I try to finish every ''big'' game that comes out. Headshot is still somewhat special he buys DLC for games he didn't even finished.. I skip them till I at least finish the main story, and if I liked it..ofc..I buy it..
I need to become picky, really..and then I say, to hell with it..gonna do what makes me happy, life is to short.
If I don't buy DLC for games I have even if I haven't finished them, it will eat at me lol. I'm fully aware I have a problem but at least I don't spend all my money on drugs lol.

You can buy me games if it can relieve from your disease
Hmm heres the video from the link which is the Xbox One version.
Also we dont know if its patched?
Im playing on PS4 which has been patched and I have zero complaints on framerate.
There seems to be a mixed response with regards to framerate with several people who say they have the game or have watched streams of the PS4 version saying it runs and to be honest Im one of them ... so far.
The article also mentions long load times which I cannot deny but I dont see that as a major problem. Maybe that will also get fixed in a patch.

What's weird is that logically, the loading screens dont seem to be necessary most of the time. Like when you retry a challenge or cutscenes where the assets are already loaded anyway.
