Better performance though? At least that's what I'm reading from different gaming forums....

Maybe it's finally time to actually play through this now...

The new patch helped out a great lot. It feels really smooth and never drops below 50 for me.

So if anyone wants to play it, now's the time. I just finished the main story and oh man, it goes places. Very Happy Rocksteady's still got it.

Haha yup I can confirm that, the patch did something useful (against all odds Razz Laughing). High details are no longer a mirage for me and the hdd doesn't give the impression of blowing up anymore which was my #1 concern.

(I just re-started everything, so it'll take me a while to finish it, but now it feels objectively good - and admittedly it does look pretty great with the combo solid 60fps/ciderpmatic effects removed).

It ran and looked (no more of those hideous halfway loaded textures) already pretty good for me with one of the previous big patches Very Happy Good to hear it might run even ebtter now, I'll probably play it when the new most wanted missions are released next month.

Am I correct in thinking that if you buy the game on Steam and play through the whole thing until the end of the year, you can then refund it?

or just get a cheap key for about 10-15 euros and dont fuck around with the steam support, cause thats abusing the system and can lead to your account banned (cause they see ofc your playtime and the achievements etc for finishing the game and whatever). its like going to a restaurant, eating 90% of the food and then saying meeeh tastes bad, i want a different one or no bill

Well, they did say the following:
Quote:
Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product

so AK is clearly an exception to the abuse rule. Unless of course they meant only those who purchased the game at release and held on to it, but in that case they should've been more careful with their wording.
But I see your point, RU keys are dirt cheap anyway.

I guess they just got memory management under control. The game was running without a hitch for me since the re-launch. But I have 16 GB of system memory and 6 GB of VRAM, with the game using up 5.5 GB of VRAM pretty quickly (at 1440p)

That, or they downgraded the whole thing, because some dirty peasants can't afford a 2,000€ PC Mad
