im sure everything makes sense to people when its all theyve ever known.

over here we do day, month, year, and it makes sense to me... days go into months, months go into years, so to me thats a natural progression.

Wow this game was quite the surprise, wasnt interested in it and didnt knew much about it, but damn im glad i played it. Obviously butterfly effect movie like everyone else is saying but in the first episodes reminded me of twin peaks too . Also thought alot about LOST show too, first episodes had a mistery atmosphere in them, and from ep4 they went sf crazy Very Happy

The first 3 ep were good but the last 2 were a rollercoaster, and the end of ep4, the bad guy

Final choice was super easy for me since i didnt really

This was a great game. I didn't mind the final choice. At least you got both of the extreme options and not just variations of the one which I consider to be the cliched option to this kind of story. The ending definitely fits the game and the ideas behind it very well.

Also the game had one of the best atmospheres that I've seen in a minute. Of recent games only Witcher 3 comes to mind where I was so immersed in the story, world and characters.

Just finished it and I absolutely loved the game. In fact, I was kind of over-whelmed by the quality of characters. My best episode would definitely be episode 4. I mean it started out so strong (emotionally) and ended with a shocking conclusion. The finale choice was a tough one, but I picked the one which felt right to me and didn't regret it. The soundtrack that played after pretty much gave a perfect closure.

Dam it, hope these guys at Dontnod make a sequel. Definitely one of the most engaging games this year. Very Happy

What a gem this is. Bud luck that this came the same year with Witcher 3 because it might got my GOTY if it didn't.

To me this doesn't sound as 100% confirmation but I'm sure it will happen.

Oh yes! This game was such an awesome unique experience. Telltale needs to take notes. Can't wait for more and I hope they'll hire the same guy to do the music again.

started playing this last night. completed episode 1 in two sittings pretty much. so far I am a bit torn.

On one hand, it's got this mystique about it that keeps me playing, and parts of the whole artsy vibe are done well. It runs great as well, easy 4K on a 970 with constant 60 fps.

On the other hand, it kinda feels a bit pretentious at times, and embodies the overly politically correct, spoiled children syndrome of todays twitter generation. 18 year olds feel like 12 year olds from my childhood, or maybe that's just what 18 year olds look like when you're 30. Laughing

Music goes from very good acoustic guitar instrumentals, to very girly indie rock or whatever you would call that mushy crap.

But it did pull me in, despite the contrast between SJW pretentiousness and surreal artsy goodness. The gameplay is simple, but interesting. voice acting is very good. artstyle is decent.

I do feel a bit awkward when playing it, as i can't shake off the feeling that it's a chick game for some reason, but it's all good. Very Happy

game is getting hella better after ep1 (if you catch my drift here Very Happy). but your points are valid, except the soundtrack stuff, its just awesome, dont know what of that should be girly indie rock... Wink

Been listening to a lot of Hendrix the past week or so, maybe that makes the soft vocals and sad songs sound girly Very Happy

I did like when max played the guitar in her room, but other songs, not so much.

Completed it last night.

Was doing episode per day, but damn, ep 4 was so awesome, I had to do ep 5 right away. that ending in ep 4. Never saw it coming. that mofo Surprised

Honestly, the teenage drama should have been episode 1 only, and then 4 quality mindfuck episodes, not 3 vs 2 it ended up being.

Overall, enjoyed it a lot. but I still stand by my early complaints. the game was just way too emo at moments.

Maybe it's just a generational gap, but I went to a same kind of high school, and never had such drama over first world problems like people have in this game. It's just way too exaggerated or i'm old.

And the hell is up with Max. she's 18, but when you interact with a soda machine, she's like, I want a soda, but I get too wired. Reaction

what are you 6 ? wired from sugar? Laughing

But overall, lots of potential if the sequel ends up being episode's 4 and 5 to the max.

Could be hella good Cool Face

And of course, even if I hated the game, it would have been worth it for this Pffchh

There's nothing realistic about the game's depiction of high school/college life. It's exaggerated for the sake of drama.

yep, that much is obvious, but it comes of way too emo at times. Up until chapter 4 there were a lot of scenes where I was bored because the game was going for an emotional response and failed.

After all the comments i read so far, decided to give it a go.

The timeline / time travel aspect is pretty reduced and doesnt really bring anything new, there are a few great moments but thats it..

Im at half ep 3 and so far, i dont know if its just me, but its a lot of teenage drama, sometimes they tacle the main plot a bit and the time travel aspect but its like 10% of the game..

I guess if you are into seeing 2 girls gossip and drama each 5 minutes with school and parent issues you will enjoy this, but as it stands, even though the music and atmosphere is great, its rly no different than watching those girly shows, i feel kinda ashamed for even playing this, but since someone praised ep 3 and 4 so much i will stick with it, i just played that pool scene (another girly moment) , yes, i refer to this game by "scenes" cause your not really doing anything substancial most of the time and i said to myself, i cant believe im playing a game like this, im a 29yo male, i love sci fi, and a good mistery, but this is just too much ahah..

Have you ever visited an institution that was devoted to the arts, like Juilliard? With a 6.7% admittance rate, it's definitely not your typical school. The awe many students hold for Jefferson, for example, is actually pretty true to life.

I don't doubt that some aspects may very well be, but on the whole it's very exaggerated.

Do students of Juiliard say wowzers? Very Happy
