When I'm done with this, I'm gonna rip this game apart from a thousand angles. Jesus, the game is infuriating... or at least what they did with it. I'm not even sure if mods can save it, just like they couldn't with Skyrim.

My overall impression so far is that it's made for fucking simpletons. It's like a themepark for idiots... one where they can never do anything wrong... always succeeding. And completely soulless. Everything feels so artificial and meaningless... bah. Loot is one of the worst I've ever seen. Their idea of the difficulty setting is just pathetic... and so on and on. So much wrong with this game. I constantly feel insulted while playing it.

Such a fucking shame.

(All highly subjective ofc, before someone wets his panties)

*EDIT* And that patchlog is indeed Pathesda...

You're correct. It's unfortunate that the same critique can be applied. "It's harder to fail than it is to succeed".

Beta v1.2.33.0 out

New Features
- Number pad keys can now be used for remapping
- Remapping Activate now works on Quick Container

Fixes
- General memory and stability improvements
- Fixed issue where equipped weapons become locked after completing Reunions
- Fixed issue with When Freedom Calls where the quest would not complete
- During Confidence Man, fixed issue where player's health would continuously regenerate
- Fixed crash related to jumping into water and reloading saved games
- Fixed issue where Launcher would not save God Rays Quality setting properly

Jeez really? All that time with a studio that big and they basically did nothing. I guess it's more important to work on dlc then to fix a broken game these days.

Nah, it's totally fine, really.

No bugs or severe fps drops near cities. And the game's not fucked up per se.

I think its a case of 'high expectations' not being met, rather than it being a bad game per se.

Then again, isn't it like that with all AAA games nowadays?

Thanks for the information pal. I'll keep playing it as I'm getting into it but I wish they'd fixed this before launch.

@Mythril However there's a few Mods for performance improvements that only have a minor effect on visuals, might wanna check that out. Made it bearable at the very least for most of us Mr. Green

Beta update is already up at the usual 'shop' Wink

As for frame rate, try Shadow boost:

Yes Shadowboost is great. Lowest FPS now is ~40, instead of ~23.
The game might look like shit with this though, when you are at some high location and looking to the city. But during my city runs, where the visible distance is rather low anyways, it is so much better to play. And there i don't notice missing shadows.

And seeing how Bethesda doesn't have seem to have any intentions to fix the performance, one sadly must rely on the good people of modding.

in Sanctuary with 980Ti I get 35-40fps, with ~45% gpu load - the game can't utilize the GPU..

as for bugs, I haven't encountered nothing progress breaking - a couple of bugged terminals
some stucking in walls, items falling through the ground, enemies bugging after being hit and freezing in adam's pose, some crashes - mostly after exiting, but a couple while playing

Finished it. Really underwhelmed with the main story. New Vegas was better in this regard. Otherwise the game was enjoyable but had many faults.

My main problem is that nowhere was really that interesting. All the location were fairly generic. They had a tiny bit of story, usually in terminals, that was of no consequence and the locations basically consisted of a bunch of baddies to kill and boxes to loot. New Vegas had better locations but still suffered of much the same.

I spent over a hundred hours on the game and while I must say I enjoyed the first fifty immensely, that last fifty left me wishing there was more to it. That said, fifty hours of immense enjoyment is quite the rarity. Overall, an excellent game, I think.

Not many called it bad, I think. It just has very disappointing qualities to it. Qualities previous installments did better and sometimes for blatantly obvious reasons (eg. dialogue system).
Nonetheless game can be very enjoyable for quite some time.

I found the story extremely disappointing, because I couldn't steer it in the direction I wanted.

Will now play fallout 3 and then new vegas...

Great game, I like exploring alot more in this game than Witcher 3, the setting is just alot more interesting. Witcher 3 locations are too familiar you always know what to expect, but in FO4 it can be anything. Don't know why people are bashing this game if you played any other bethesda titles you know what to expect, did you expect anything more then from Oblivion ? Fallout 3 ? I expected this game to be like Fallout 3 and I'm very happy with it. People probably expected too much and feel very disappointed. Great fun and great setting. Alot of stuff and features are better in Witcher 3 than this game but this game is just more interesting. Could be the fact that I'm not much into medieval shit.

Yeah if a game doesn't work properly it's broken. Is that hard for you to understand?
Maybe you ignore the bugs like being unable to switch weapons sometimes or countless other ones that impede gameplay but the reality is they exist.

It's not broken, If it was broken the game would be unplayable. Its NOT unplayable. Small bugs here and there even Witcher 3 has alot of small bugs too. It's an outdated engine that is limited but fully functional for a game like this. Imagine FO4 with Cryengine, that would suck ass.

yall will hate me but im still gonna ask it im too stupid to find anything. is there a mod which adds all items you can find automatically into your inventory or atleast show it on the map or something? i don't want to check every damn desk or fridge when seeing it.
like walk through a room and get all that collectable junk right automatically in your inventory without checking out anything.

You mean, purely for crafting/construction junk? Or.. every item in the game ever ever ever? The first one, yes, the second, no.

Well you'll miss out on a lot of notes/logs and also keys and stuff for terminals/doors, so you'll need to still search around Smile
