Newest beta drivers for AMD did improve things for me, especially in that region. Don't know if you're on an AMD or GF card?

Nope, you just need at least two settlements to connect them.

Deathclaws you have to fight inside buildings sadly are a fucking joke. Sad
You just run through a doorway and it won't be able to follow you.

A shame really. The devs should have designed the insides in favour of the Deathclaws, so they possess the threat they deserve.

Lol. Pretty much all my settlements consist of one big flop house with nothing beds jammed in just tight enough to allow walking space between them. I definitely take the function over form approach.

Pro-Tip for Settlementfags.

The 2nd level of the Food&Drink store is actually a Bar. Settlers will grab drinks from there and look for possible places to sit down to enjoy their beverage in the after hours.

Having a lot more fun encounters with some difficulty mods. I disliked in survival how every enemy was bullet spongy but liked how everything killed you quickly. More legendary spawns was good too. So what I did was change it so I did 1x damage in survival instead of 0.5x but enemies still do 2x. Then I made legendaries spawn 10x more frequently instead of just 3x. Might tweak it to make enemies do more damage but still need to play some more.
Works great and everything is still dangerous but if I shoot a raider in the face with a shotgun he dies now instead of just blinking. Mr. Green

Nice, but I'll wailt a couple of months for something like FWE/PN popping up.

It's just sad to see what Bethesda deems as "difficulty". The bulletspongy shit is just ridiculous.

They should've put more focus on the enemies dodging more and stuff instead which I rather like. It's pretty awesome when Ghouls and Deathclaws dodge your shots from time to time. I hope some mod will be able to ramp up that behaviour too.

Another day another hilarious mod appears on the Nexus. Very Happy

A: When an attack happens, most of your settlers (except those assigned to guard posts) will run out of the base, which defeats the whole purpose of making a nice choke point.
B: Attacks almost never happens if you make the base have good defense. Sanctuary, which is my most defended and well built base has never had a single attack since the start.
C: You don't really gain anything from them except caps in the case of having those traders. And even that is kind of pointless since there's nothing to really buy in this game, thanks to the gun/armor customization.

A: Maybe one can think of this as a two-way tower defense, so you would try to slow down your idiots as well... Obviously thats pretty ridiculous.

B: I think it makes sense that you get attacked less often, with a high defense. After all, who attacks Fort Knox? But really, who would? Bigger organisations might, since big defenses can indicate good loot. So maybe a mod should decrease the number of attacks (not to zero, though) but up their strength?
While on the subject, I have a question. What even happens if you don't defend a base? What is lost? Nameless settlers? Resources? Buildings? Do I lose the respect of the o-so-important minutemen? Laughing

C: I wonder how one would solve this. This would probably involve making other parts of the game harder, so that any potential gains are actually needed. Like increase the strength of monsters, and let good settlements weaken them again or something ...

I once lost all of my 11 settlers and most buildings got destroyed.
