Not sure why anyone would buy this. Just from looking at gameplay/videos i'd much rather re-install UT2004 and play that instead, or just go back to TF2 even with all it's bloat and hat bullshit these days.
Anyways it's gonna be easy money for Blizzard. Makes sense to cancel working on a new MMO when you can just release trash like this and continue releasing expansions for WoW considering how many people still play WoW. Releasing a new MMO would only have them competing with themselves; a waste of money.

This game will have droves of players by pure "Blizzard Power". Ppl that think Blizzard can do no wrong.
I personally wont touch it with an 8-foot pole. I hate mobas, and this is everyday looking more and more like a first-person moba.

didn't manage to get into beta so i don't know what to think about this game but i did manage to play Battleborn ( awful game) somebody here played them both?any similarities ?

I'd buy it (for a cheaper price at release) because I have +3000 hours on TF2 and I want something new but still somewhat similar. TF2 gets updated a little bit every now and then but it's mostly nothing really new (which is fine as such, it's an old game so it's only natural that updates eventually stagnate). UT2004 is a lot of fun but it doesn't have abilities and different types of classes the way this game and TF2 does (well, maybe there's a mod I don't know about but whatever). That's why I'll buy it.

I honestly don't see why some of you think this game is trash. I mean, I'm not trying to defend it or anything, but I really don't see what's bad about this game from an objective point of view. The only negative things from my perspective is the price point of this pre-order, the excessively large weapon view models and some few map design parts I don't agree with. From what I hear from streamers, the game even performs very well despite being a long time from release date.
I definitely think Blizzard can do a lot of bad shit, Diablo III for instance... Their excessive dumbing down of WoW. And yeah, this game is kind of like a mix between a first person MOBA and TF2. Bad if you don't like such things but objectively what's so bad about it?  |
It's not bad. It's just mediocre. Why bother? If you want a new team fps experience fire up steam during a sale and find one. If this game were free whatever, but it isn't.

Well I would had really loved to play this, it doesn't seem boring at all to me.
But I'm not going to pay that price for it.. It's just too much.. €15 with an extra skin or hero, I would had agreed on..
But eventually they'll go F2P, not a single doubt about that.. They just first want to cash in, that's obvious.. Which is a shame, it will at least keep 50% of the people that where interested out for now.
Not to mention, no beta access, no plans for new heroes yet besides "we will see how we will do this" (in other words, first see how well the game sells and what kind of model we going to use)..

For $15 I can rattle off team based multiplayer shooters that will offer a hell of a lot fun, even if only for 100 hours you'll still get your money's worth compared to this game.

I have around 10 hours played in this, which makes me have highest Elimination and highest Last hit on the heroes that I play (roadhog and tracer). It's very easy to aim in this game. I tried Mcree as well, but from the get go I was owning with him - if you ever mastered the DE in CS, then with this hero you will simply own everyone and everything.
As a shooter, this is lacking. That is damn certain. It's also slow.

Been playing it all day. Pretty good so far. But just like HotS, its all about teamwork. If your team sucks, its over. Thankfully that means the enemy would just steamroll you and the match would be over in record time.
Still on the edge if this is worth $40 though.

Not really, its all about picking the overpowered characters like bastion or widowmaker.
Last 2 games in a row i was player of the game, highest kill count in the game.
Crap game, will not pay money for, back to anything else.

They did that for D3 and WOTLK Beta, after that they only flagged accounts.
I hope I get an invite on the 9th, but I doubt it, even though I preordered Origin edition.. Silly me..
