You guys keep saying this, but on a console this inventory system is still horrible, no? |
because it can't be better when you have a gamepad. but it can be better with mouse+kb if you design it differently. |
It's mainly shitty because the interface feels wonky and you don't have a "browse all" button which would really help. But let's face it: Fallout ALWAYS had a shitty inventory.

I still wouldn't play it. I can't even sort them the way I want and that applies to the consoles as well.

Yes, we know. This is the eleventh time it was reposted.. only the previous times weren't tagged with comments about "butthurt" because some of us don't like consolised bullshit. But hey..

I think the design of the UI is fine, it's just that there's a lot of unused space and of course, everything should be scaled down a bit. It shouldn't be that hard to bring it in the right place through a mod.

What does the warning icon in data -> workshops mean? At first it seemed to signal if a settlement had a warning for one of the resource productions. In one settlement it warned me about my defenses so I upped them until the warning disappeared. A bit later, I have a settlement with a warning label, that shows me no warning in the details... so what?
The settlement that didn't have a warning for defenses got attacked btw.

What am I supposed to do when I get radio signals but only hear static? I assume they start quests, but tuning in on the signal and walking around doesn't do anything. All I hear is static. I powered the dish array north a long time ago if that matters.

Has anyone seen any vendors with explosive round modifier on weapons? Most vendors seem to carry a weapon/armor or two with those modifiers you'd normally get from legendary mob drops, and I could use a replacement/addition to my 10mm. With maxed out Demolition Expert that modifier is just heavan.

Look out for Cricket - traveling merchant and buy Spray n' Pray. SMG and its fast fire-rate with the flat +15 damage is insanely overpowered. Decimates limbs, power armor parts, and the inherent inaccuracy is irrelevant if you just aim it like you're playing Quake.

Spray n' Pray is *ridiculously* game breaking, it's glorious! Between that, the Explosive Assault Shotgun and the Piercing 5.56 Assault Rifle, you simply don't need another weapon in the game. Stock up on .45, 5.56 and Shell ammo.

Everything in this fucking game is overpowered. I have 400 stim packs and 120 fusion cores from just 10 hours and no cheats.
WHAT THE FUCK Bethesderp.

Locked door in Southie Speakeasy/Andrew Station:
Spoiler: | Anyone know where to get the keycode? I can't type in anything at the keypad manually, just use it.

Spoiler: | So we get to meet a pre-war Chinese Captain and help him with this problem. Yet we're not given the chance to ask him all kinds of questions? With everything indicated, we now know it is extremely likely that the Chinese were indeed the ones who fired first. But what we don't know is why. By that I mean did they fire out of desperation? Or was Vault-Tec involved? Did PAM have anything to do with all this? Are there anymore twist to all this?
Normally we only get snippets of info from terminals, etc. But now that we literally have a pre-war person (who fired the nukes), this should have been one of the biggest lore dump we get in this game. WTF Beth
And I was so excited when I read that one terminal, then found this guy. Way to get my hopes up |

Gotta cut some corners now that everything is fully voiced (shittily if you picked the male, awesomely if you picked the female).
But that's just how Bethesda rolls. Always squandering opportunities because hey, if they don't care about the lore, why should the players?

Sooooo, do we want improved dialogue interface.. or do we want improved inventory sorting?

They're mutually exclusive due to the strings file they edit. Pick one

Still think power armor is too rare in this game.
