How do u think guys - is it possible to finish game with pistolts only? Of course death claws packs and so on would have to suit up PA, but rest of encounters? I have finished this way 1 (.233 pistol) & 2 (solar AFAIR). There is gunslinger perk, with blood mess it could be fun.
maybe with one of these. Pull the trigger and it will fire non stop until the last bullet. No need to reload with this gun. I'll see if I can boost the damage and firing rate a little more with it.
screen capture software
I have that on my lazor rifle And just grabbed a plasma rifle, it's deadly even with medium upgrades, can't begin to imagine how much better it will get with the top upgrades
Also already have the alien blaster but I haven't tried it. If, like FO3, it really shines with criticals it will be useless to me since I don't use VATS at all

i guess thouth if without a legit key the installation was rolling back we are all fucking then
Harry was right, it didn't take long before people that completed the game stopped giving a shit about using spoiler tags. Enough with the fucking ending chat, ffs. Stick it in spoiler tags.
Terribly sorry, I thought I did.
Thanks whomever did it for me!

Armor pieces (Leather, Raider, Metal and Synth) are available in normal versions, sturdy versions and heavy versions, it's all using the same form-ID however so as a example if you give yourself 10 leather chest pieces you'll usually get some of each type.
So you just got to keep trying and killing raiders and such and loot the stuff from them.
(Be aware that upgraded components lose the prefix so two shadowed leather legs might be one normal and one sturdy or heavy for example, best is to equip or compare stats and see what you have, only downside to the "better" versions is that they are a bit heavier but the defense bonus is usually well worth that tradeoff.)
So the prefixes change the armor's appearance? On the loading screen I mentioned the guy is wearing combat armor that completely covers his arms, the only combat armor I've found on enemies only covers my shoulders.
Yeah of sorts.
"Leather Armor" <- This is the basic "Tier1" appearance, usually only covers a little bit of the body part it's for.
"Sturdy Leather Armor" <- This is the upgraded variant, "Tier2" if you will, covers a bit more.
"Heavy Leather Armor" <- This is the final upgrade, "Tier3" or what to call it, covers most of the body when worn.
Helmets (Synth, Combat and Metal, none for raider and leather.) don't have different upgrade tiers.
Shadowed Light Leather Right Leg <- This is a piece of armor that has upgrades on it, these upgrade names override the above so it could be any of the three tiers, best check stats or equip it and see how much it covers the particular body part it's for if you are unsure if it's basic or more advanced.
(IE a Leather leg piece offers 1 defense when not upgraded and I think it's 4 when it's fully upgraded to studded whereas a heavy leather leg piece can offer upwards of 14 or so defense but it will also weigh more.)
EDIT: To use leather as a example the basic chest piece variant is barely a strap across the chest whereas the heavy version is a full chest plate covering your entire torso and back.
(I prefer combat armor as it's balanced between energy and ballistic defense although leather offers superior energy defense and metal offers superior ballistic defense, raider kinda sucks but it looks a bit cool at least and synth I'm unsure about as I don't have a fully upgraded set for it as it's not as common, vault suit offers superior energy and radiation defense - barring a radiation suit which makes you almost immune - so there's not much else to wear - even if said vault suit offers no ballistic defense that's made up for with the other actual armor pieces worn over it - although visually I prefer some of the brotherhood "underwear" or the road leathers to the blue jumpsuit heh.)
Spoiler:
There's a surprising lack of actual "armor" in the game, compared even to the Mark V railroad armor offering some 80 or so defense for ballistic and energy a fully upgraded combat armor and the vault suit is still vastly superior.
(Courser coat looks pretty cool and Kellog's - not the tiger - armor is also neat but they just don't compare stats wise so it's a bit limited unless you wear them for roleplay purposes or something.)

Wait... someone called Rifleman is asking if this game can be played with pistols only and you guys all casually continue?
I'm playing mostly only with pistols and this gun is a mighty beast. I dont have any weapon that comes close to the power of this beauty.

Yeah those things are nuts when modded for max damage and you use sneak crits. Same with the modifier that does x amount of damage per round - just maximize the RoF and you'll kill anything.
Sorry Badrien, I haven't been messing with that yet. I didn't try the Kodix "fix" either, since apparently it was pretty glitchy.
One question; does anyone know how to disable that incredibly annoying close range "fog" you see everywhere you go? It's bad enough outside, but indoors is where it gets really obnoxious, where a room 10m away will full of a thick fog that magically clears up as you get closer. Really annoying, really ugly.
Got misc quests where you are asked to clear out the warehouses.
1. Is there anyway to get inside without trespassing?
2. Will killing all those mafia like guys inside have any impact later? Or will Hancock turn against?
Thanks.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Is that related to the draw distance, or the object fade and other fade options in the settings?.

Spoiler:
1. No
2. It leads to another quest later that can have multiple outcomes
i love the game, but the writing is absolutely disgusting. the way piper talks and does her stupid facial expressions just sends shivers down my spine and gives me goosebumps.

Kodix's FPS Boost Removed and replaced with iNumHWThreads
Anyone tried this updated tool? The Kodix fps boost did wonders for me, dont wanna ruin that with something that might not work
On my rig I didn't notice any difference between version with Kodix and HWThreads. Funny thing that after activating "High Priority" lockpicking had like 100000 fps and mouse was over reacting and I was breaking pins like crazy.
