Hello guys, I read a rumor in another forum about this game has a new version of StarForce. This new version blocklisted Daemon Tools V4 and SfCure and for that the game didn't work unplugging drives. Someone knows something?
Thanks and sorry for my english, I talk spanish.

even if it was 3.7 it can easily be fooled setting virtual drive reading speed at 1x... no problem at all even if it was the newest staforce on earth.

What the scene needs is a StarForce employee to quit and go rogue! Join the scene! I am sure they would know all the ins and outs of StarForce. Don't you think StarForce has a way to crack their own protection? You people worry to much anyway. I can play any StarForce game with my Promise PCI IDE card. The only drive I run off my mobo is my C. Otherwise my 2 DVD burners and 2 Hard Drives run off the PCI IDE card's 2 IDE Ports. Mine is old too, ATA100. You can buy them for $40.00. You mount the image in DT4, install and then play, no questions asked. Or you could always buy the USB Hard Drive Enclosure. They run about the same $40.00. Just plug in your hard drive to the USB enclosure, connect to your USB, turn it on and XP plugs and plays it. These enclosures come with an on and off switch too. StarForce is not going to last forever. The more it protects games the more it fucks up a legitimate persons computer. StarForce protected game sales are going to drop, drop and drop. It only takes ONE bad experience for most novice computer users to stop installing a product that caused them harm. You want to know why? Because they don't know how to fix it when it breaks. So they have to pay a techie like us to fix their computers, which costs them more money. So they boycott anything that can cause their computer harm. Well, let's just hope I am right.

yeah.. you may be right.. and i knew the PCI IDE controller shit.. quite ingenious.. but we should be realistic here for a while.. the game we should've had for 2 days is yet to come out.. that may be because the shitty starforce has figured a way to be imposible to CLONE.. anyone thought about that? what now? what if it is imposible to clone a SF(whatever the next version is).. what if they have finaly done it? the imposible-to-crack SF.. will we buy games .. of course not.. but we will miss a lot of cool games(and the best will have the uncrackable starforce.. i'm shure of that).. all i am saying is.. if the uncrackable staforce has come.. it's the end of gaming comunitys as we know them..
please god let this not be the case!!

That will never happen. Come on War3 you sound like a reasonable person. You should know this. As long as something can be programmed it can always, always be deprogrammed. The only thing devs are doing is making it difficult for us to play protected games. Not mention ruining things for the people that actually purchase their games. They know they will never be able to actually stop us from playing them free. They figure most people will have to unplug their IDE drive to play a StarForce protected game. It's all about ease of use. Most people on this forum don't play StarForce protected games because they don't want to unplug their IDE DVD/CD drives. Of course these are my opinions. But if and I do mean IF there ever came a day when they couldn't crack or image a StarForce game then I would revert back to the way I was before my knowledge over flowed with Bittorent, No Cd Cracks, Mini Images and the Internet. My new God would be....................the DEMO! LOL! Oh I hope that never happens..........Gasp! Please NO! If it did then it's just a matter of trying a game before you buy. FUCKERS better lower their prices though!

Well, the fact that PoP TTT is not out yet is not that surprising. It was just released yesterday. I would guess we will see a release some time this weekend. The Scene is prideful and won't let StarForce win. Damn, Warrior Within is a good game! I am loving it! This will keep me going until TTT comes out.

we are used to releases before or exactly in the day of the launch.. well.. patience is the key here..

I've read something about that,so you put drive reading speed to 1x and then(do you still need to disconnect drives, for which versions does this apply...

3.7 only... but i presume sfdev will skip 3.7 and jump directly to 3.8 at this point, their frontline elite is ready to be used and they will implement it soon

LOL!!! War3 you are right, I was thinking the same thing. At least you beat WW 3 times! WOW! I am just getting use to the moves. It's like the perfect game for the frame of mind I am in. So even if I die I am not getting frustrated. But LOL! I keep forgetting to rewind time when I die. I was able to rewind time right before I quit last night, so I am looking forward to actually progressing! I am just glad to play the game. Every now and then this happens to me. I think it is because I am highly anticipating TTT. I still have to buy PoP SOT for the GameCube so that I can beat that one. I have the PC version but they only made that game controllable with a Thrustmaster Firebird or something gamepad. I using a XBOX controller USB with the XBCD1.06 PC driversfor my PC games and it wouldn't work right with it. I was having a great time playing SOT with a mouse/keyboard combo but it was just to many keys to play it efficiently and to enjoy.

Wow that doesn't sound good at all. Did I read that right that they are implementing USB, IDE and IEEE1394 anti filter protection? Does this mean even IDE PCI cards won't work soon? What is this 3.07? I thought they were on 3.8? Ugly software.........
