I just tried out some fixes for better fps. And these two worked for me:
- Force Tesselation in your GPU settings to the lowest setting. Not off, as that can decrease graphic quality.
- In C:\Users\xxx\Documents\my games\Fallout4\Fallout4Prefs.ini change these settings to a lower setting:
fDirShadowDistance=8000.0000
fShadowDistance=8000.0000
FYI, on Ultra the value is 20000, on high 13000 on medium it's 3000...
Got about 6 more fps in trouble locations. Still crappy but better.

who was searching for T51?
found a suit in the the National Guard Training Yard's Armory building, you need master locksmithing or hacking to open it

I didn't know lowering settings via ini was a fix.

Anyone farther in the story unlocked more different buildings for the settlements?
Or is everything possible unlocked from the beginning?

games which use their own folders by design from the devs arent changed with the emulator cause the original game behaves the same. codex files of the game aka achievement stuff or similar is stored in C:\users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Steam\377160, and if you look inside the crack ini its even placed there

I'm surprised how nice TxAA looks. It makes jaggies disappear in 1080p even though my native rez is 1440p

I think it's TAA not TXAA. But yeah it's nice and the fps hit is about the same as FXAA. More games should start using it.

TAA actually, TXAA is Nvidia's temporal AA solution (Which also makes use of MSAA.) whereas Bethesda made their own, temporal being that it is effective "in motion" or how to best describe.
(Though I noticed a subtle jittering with it so I disabled it, blur itself isn't too bad though the weapon model in 1st person view gets the worst of it.)

Man... city areas are ruining the fun with their framerate drop issues. It's like Oblivion all over again.
Hard to believe Bethesda didn't actually outsource the development to some obscure Chinese 5-man software firm...

TAA looks bad imo. It just blurs everything in motion. The moment I start moving, everythings blurred.

Settlement stores aren't really good at making money. I've had them for a long time now, and they only earned about 30 caps.
For people wondering: the money is deposited in your workshop. Visit the workshop, press R to "Transfer", go to the Misc tab, you'll find your caps in there.
I think I could make more money from my garden since you can harvest your plants. And it won't cost 1200 caps to build a stand.

I'm only at Diamond City, I dunno what that's like for FPS drops for others, no issues here.

Holy shit, just met Swan, what a boss, I ran away like a little girl from the lake |
there is a tooltip saying "the further south you go, the more dangerous enemies you'll encounter"
IT IS A FUCKING LIE!!
in the north corner of the map there is a place where you sound a siren and a FUCKING LEGENDARY DEATHCLAW comes
made about 8% damage with a critical rocket shot
pressed F9 so fast..
btw I found a legendary double shotgun, with double crit damage, and I modded it for crit bonus, so you can get quadriple crit damage.. oneshotted the deathclaw in the witchcraft museum with it
