Yea, i listen to the radio most of the time.
And there seems to be barely any variety. The same few songs and the same radio speaker announces.
Pretty disappointing.

* You CAN 'wait' but you must be sitting on something first.

* No repairing/upgrading of weapons by using another weapon... but I do like the mod upgrades. But FFS if you find aluminium PICK IT UP - it's as scarce as gold!

* For that matter, remember virtually everything has a purpose, including toothpaste.

* Terminals are the primary source of storytelling, if you care - be sure to read stuff.

* Need 10 power, but can only build power generators with 5 power? Build a pylon and attach two to it, then attach wire from that to the object to be powered. And wire only stretches so far, so make sure you build another pylon if you get a red cable.

* If you find robot horse pieces, pick them up too!

* Ammo is not as plentiful as some might think - you burn through it real quick, especially against 'legendary' mobs - bit cheap, but searching them usually yields something useful.

* If you leave your power armour outside of a power armour crafting station, it will appear on your map so you don't lose it.

* Nothing can save that awful convo system, it truly is crap.

* And finally, when fighting boss mobs, I strongly urge you to use mines. Especially bottlecap mines.

* F5 is your greatest friend.

My honest opinion overall - this is a great game, it has some shortcomings, but it is still a very playable and fun game to lose time in. Ignore they naysayers in here, it might not be the prettiest game ever made, and yes it looks directly like a console port, but put those to one side, and you;ll find the game is nowhere near as bad as was predicted - even by me. And assuming mods are not going to be pay-to-play, I think this will be an epically moddable game, and should improve things tenfold.

Ah nice, will use that command too to add like 50 carry weight.
Since i drop all the junk at workshops and give most found weapons to settlers i have no real weight limit problems anyways.
And if anyone cares: this command won't disable achievements.

actually my saves are already there :-O

1) i used a steamrip version and placed the CODEX crack on top of that game version.
i thought the CRACK dictates where the saves go. not the original game files....
how do i have the save files in their original location?

2) where are the codex saves "should" be located?? i wanna see if there's something there...


3) i know a lot of games where the saves are somehow coded and work ONLY with the release of the crack. not with other cracks. even if you move them to the same location.
what makes you think this isnt the case with FO4?

hahahaha i found a nice bug Smile when you are asked if you want to change your nick/attributes when leaving vault 111 i changed my nick then when i'm on platform i can't move nothing is responsive on my keyboard only alt tab is working and mouse
but when i don't change my nick i can just walk of platform and everything works ? :s

Found 3 "legendary" enemies already and the second fusion core. Nick is a really nice companion, not too intrusive as well.

I expected Aquaboy to be a perk that is more down the line, I could activate it each level from now on already (14 currently) Embarassed

wasnt able to follow the last (~10) pages. so unlocking the framerate fucks the engine again in this? i.e. melee attacks are tied to the framerate which result in very fast attacks with unlocked fps? great work...

Well I gotta commend this game technically, runs so smooth on 4 gig of ram Laughing Very Happy well done Bethseda, no slowdowns or jittering, was afraid I wouldn't be able to play it looks great to, no real difference between ultra and small textures. Loading times pretty fast so far, maybe it gets worse later?

Maybe a bit to streamlined and childish, the whole vault went to fast, some interaction would be nice but they went straight to killing. Also like they wanted to turn the game into a fps for commercial reasons.

This game + mods will be gold for sure change the dialog, make the game more complex and rpg-ish, that Nevada mod that added helmets and balance mods.

So every time you level up you can increase one of your attributes, that seems a bit to much, should have been just perks and attributes every 5'th level.

Yes, radiation is also responsible for low res textures and it's even affecting the performance of high end PCs.

Talk about breaking the 4th wall

Even on my medium settings the faces look much better and not like some muddy mess.

Just found a pistol with a silencer and after that built a silencer for my sniper rifle.
Damn, it's so much fun exterminating an enemy base in stealth mode! Very Happy

No those mutants and ghouls actually look like that, every single one I've come across has had the same "smear" as a face texture. Very Happy

EDIT: Speaking of texture quality the more technical explanation as offered by the script extender guys is that the diffuse / color textures in this game are horribly compressed via (DDS) DXT1 instead of (DX10+) BC7
(Though the normal maps and specular maps are using high quality formats.)
