Been using Firefox x64 since version 38 or so, no real issues with it so far (Currently on 43b1) it's just 64-bit instead of 32-bit so some of the extensions might not work (Add-ons will but extensions like Flash or Silverlight have been a bit slow with providing 64-bit support, not that it appears it'll matter much come next year when Firefox apparently will be moving away from that API entirely though I heard it won't happen until 2017 for the release branch.)

And there's nothing anyone can do about it. Just like every other company that gets too big and too popular, they stop giving a fuck about what the users actually want and just steamroll ahead with what THEY think the users need. One of the biggest draws about Firefox is the insane customisability, but now they're limiting - or outright stripping - that.. because Reasons©

Why do you use themes, guys? There is almost no real estate available, it's minimalistic. Tabs on top ... buttons, address bar, buttons, all in 1 line. That's that.

This isn't a video player.

I am asking specifically why are you using themes? I don't understand because I never have.

Why do you do something I don't do, guy?? Huh? Why? I don't do it, why do you? I'm only asking, because, you know, I don't do it so why do - and why should - you?

You dont need to argue. He just seems interested. And I see his point. A theme on a browser can only change so much, if there is almost no interface left that can be themed Razz

@ VGA
however, I once had a theme, that actually made everything even tighter. Razz

But sometimes thats just the reason for the question.

"I dont do it, so or because of that I dont understand it. But obviously you have a reason for doing so and for some other reason like curiosity I would like to know your reason. Could you tell me?"

Its all a matter of perspective Very Happy

Sorry, I've been on the internet for far too long to just accept "curiosity" is ever the reason why others question people for doing something they don't do themselves ^_^

I just noticed uBlock origin blocks 315 items in a typical youtube page/video (and I see everything I want/need too, obviously, I'm not missing anything that it blocks). That's more than half of what is loaded. How can people live without adblockers? Laughing

yep, i think he confused the "overall number of blocks or since install" blocks with the actuall ones..

not shure..
i have around 15 - 25 blocks on youtube, depends on the video/channel..

but i also use "Request Policy continued" as a plan B, so i catch stuff ublock misses or the other way around..
so it could be more...

Depends on what channel your watching. Some show as '3' blocked, while others show as '50+'. Also, it depends on what filters you have set Smile

It's not the "overall number of blocks or since install", it was indeed the number of blocks on that particular video (I can't remember which one, and the average -typical- video has 20+ blocks, but that one did have 315)...

Edit: For example on this one, by the end of the video there are 63 blocks.

if ublock is setup the right way, (default deny) it should be more then 49..

these are the rules for default deny:

then you only allow those that are needed to playback teh video.
I know, its a lot of fiddling sometimes but well worth the time..
