Dumped the text in the game exe via Process Explorer from SysInternals / Microsoft and then sorted through and left all the config cvars, could be of use when tweaking the game as most of these are not part of the default ini files but have to be added manually.
FPS drops during nights to 40s. For no apparent reason. Well, besides the "Gamebryo" reason, that is...
Maybe some official patches or a wondrous "FallBoost" will fix the issues.
Yeah that was pretty shitty.
On an unrelated note, I'm pretty disappointed there's no in your face scrapping solution that works for everything. So I dropped everything I didn't need on the ground and fired up the Workshop. kek.

got a question:
(1) If i install a version of the game that was cracked by one group, or a repack - will i be able to UPDATE THE GAME later on?
(2)also, will i be able to use the saves from one crack group on an installation made by a different group?
i wouldnt want to start a game now, and two weeks from now try and update the game or not be able to continue from my last save....
Why not stick to an official scene release? For now, we only have CODEX's release, so any updates that roll out should be cracked by them too.
There are other rips: steamrip.noodle, RG mechanics, NosTeam etc etc.
the official CODEX release is DLing at 50kbps while every other release DLs at 2MBps.
i know you tried to help but you completely ignored my questions. just questioned my questions
please, can anyone answer my two questions clearly?

You didn't mention the part about the download being slow on the main release. So how would one know about that. The norm is to stick to scene releases.
These RIPS that you're trying to get would essentially use the crack from CODEX right?
So you're saves should sync up if the future crack is from the same group too. For now, there is no way to say for certain if the saves are locked in anyway to CODEX's release, unless there is another crack out there and someone has tested their saves with both.
As far as update/patch goes, my experience with updating RIPS has been fairly easy against scene update. I would normally just point the update into the game install directory and it would patch the necessary files. I have updated so many RGMechanics releases and all have worked fine, even their saves.
However, if this game's saves are interchangeable between different crack groups, we can't say for sure.
I tend to let my pc running and I somtimes do the same with games and fallout does something strange.
Its ram usage slowly goes down to about this level. When I alt tab back into the game, it jumps to 300 MiB and I assume goes up from there, once I actually do something?

I'm very much enjoying it. I think the atmosphere is excellent. The music really sets the mood. While the graphics can be pretty last-gen, I think it looks good enough. Most of my complaints center around FOV and UI issues. No bugs or crashes so far, though I did get lock-ups before I switched to the Fallout game ready drivers. Been playing for 8 hours or something. Performance is great, too. Solid 60fps at all times as long as I drop shadows to high and light rays to medium, otherwise maxed out at DSR 2880x1620, on a 2600K @ 5.2ghz, 8gb 2133mhz, 980 Ti OC'd. I'm using the beta 1.30 patch.
Played the iso demo for a bit. The graphics turned out to be okay-ish I guess, but the performance is all over the place on R9 280X. Usually stays at 50-60 but drops to 30-40 quite frequently for no reason (it certainly doesn't correspond to anything graphically complex happening on the screen). The UI is terrible. The dialogue system is as bad as I expected and what I've seen of the writing and the story is not encouraging. And of course, jankiness and bugs everywhere.
On the positive side, the shooting is much better now, which is nice because a great FPS experience is definitely what I'm looking for in a Fallout game The atmosphere is as great as ever and the core exploration gameplay is still addictive, but I think I'm going to wait for patches/drivers/mods to fix the most glaring issues before doing my first playthrough. It's a bit sad because the previous Bethesda titles hooked me from day one.
After 5 hours the UI is really starting to grind my resistance down. I dread having to change outfits or manage my inventory, something my ocd usually enjoys. Totally gave up on the outpost stuff because of it too.
F4UI plz save us from this console piece of shit
