when there is no more room in hell, the D34D will walk the earth

I tried with another NZ VPN and it still showed the german unlock time in the Steam client. I guess it just checks your defined profile location now, instead of the current one.

Yes this is normal. It'll still unlock though. To make sure you're on the right ip, check steampowered.com in a browser.
Much nicer! But let's wait and see if we can actually run the game properly first, before we start adding shaders
Aren't those shaders almost cost free? (when only counting color tweaking)
I doubt much of anything is "cost free" these days, but yeah.. if it's just tone mapping and colour tweaking, it should be fairly low cost. SMAA vs FXAA should also be very low cost for the improvement it brings. It's when you start adding various heavy shader effects, that's when it hits -- I'm running a "Revamp" pack for Tales of Zestiria and that takes GPU usage from 15-20 at low GPU clocks, to 75%+ at default clocks. It's quite a jump and that's mostly just a bit of depth of field and some added ambient occlusion.

Just did. It is definitely about my account. I was logged in on the browser as well, and it showed 12 hours, then logged out, and it became 1 hour. So it goes by my registered region instead of IP location.
And since I don't feel like messing around with changing store locations again (was enough of a headache to switch from Hungary to UK), I'll just keep my fingers crossed. Only 30 minutes, and we'll find out.

I did it again and can verify that. When i am not logged in, then it works just fine.
As soon as i login, Steam doesn't care anymore about the VPN's location.
:O
It definately worked the last time i was activating with a VPN, though that was some months ago.
