I'm not waiting until the delivery tomorrow lol. I'm going to buy it at midnight from my local 24 hour supermarket. Then return the copy I get delivered tomorrow to the supermarket for a refund as I'm hoping it will be still sealed!

Why no buy digital from your comfy home?
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
Damn, been playing several hours since midnight, it's so awesome. One thing I noticed - now when you shoot yourself (w/o VATS) it's MUCH more accurate than F3/NV. I couldn't hit shit in F3 and now I can snipe with headshots whereas VATS gives very little chance of HS in the very same situation. So basically now your manual aiming depends on your own shooting skills which are kind of good after Crucible and BO3 mp

Ive played for about 6 hours and it is indeed so awesome. Ive had zero framerate issues so far and it looks and plays very nice! Im also surprised and impressed by the level of crafting!
Spoiler:
Just got the power armour and getting my ass kicked by the first deathclaw after the museum. The power armor ran out of juice so Im having a helluva a fight with this thing!
Thankfully Im also happy with loading screens since I can rotate and zoom in on whatever it displays whilst I wait ala Skyrim
Stirling job Bethesda! This one is going to last a long time.

Spoiler:
I only reloaded once during this fight. The beast went into an alley when I came out, so I approached slowly and put 2 landmines in its path. Then threw a few grenades ito the alley, then a molotov and after it hit the landmines just finished it off with the minigun in manual mode, took me a few seconds without reloading. Playiing on normal.

Im playing normal too.
Spoiler:
Not only is my power armour out of power but I have no ammo for the mini gun and land mines? Ive not got any of those lol.

Spoiler:
Lol, I guess you wasted it all while fighting off raiders from the roof. Also I had a second minigun (and twice the ammo) because I first went to the USAF sattelite station Olivia (there's a dish visible and part of the farmers' family quest) and there was a raider with a minigun there already. And clearing Olivia was tougher than fighting the damn Deathclaw lol

Wow ...
Spoiler:
A 2nd minigun?
Ok so I should probably give up on the main story quest for the moment, go exploring and look for some sidequests lol.
I spent 4 hours looking for a fucking fusion core for my power armour! I eventually found one trader selling it but couldnt afford it. And then I pick up a request to obtain 3 of the fuckers to gain access to Vault 81. Still, Ill keep at it and having a blast whilst I do!
10 hours in and still had no bugs, freezes or crashes lol. Im impressed.
Must have played about 20 hours now and not a single issue. Finally decided to play the campaign lol.
Spoiler:
Finally beat the Deathclaw after finding a Fatman! BOOOOOM! So good! Didnt realise just how in depth the settlements construction and management is. Really impressed with it. Such an ambitious game but Bethesda have done wonders. I had so much fun scrapping the remains of Sanctuary, scavenging junk and then connecting a water purifier to a power generator using a series of towers and cables.
I love all the 50's music and the DJ on the radio is a dumbass but some of the thing he says are hilarious.
One glitch I had was Trashcan Carla's brahmin somehow ended up on the roof lol
According to the vice president of Pornhub (a popular internet purveyor of videos of an adult nature) on Fallout 4's release day the site's traffic dipped significantly.
As much as I'd like it to, the game doesn't draw me in as much as I hoped. The environments are fine, shooting is improved (though still not very good, I'd say) and the atmosphere is there, but everything just feels... I don't know... shallow, I suppose. Writing is pretty bad, world rather simplistic and a lot of stuff just seems to be happening because it does.
"Hey, thanks, you just saved us from these bandits... you know, I never saw you before and I have no clue whatsoever who you are, but would you, perhaps, like to be the leader of Minutemen - you know, these guys I mentioned in a couple of sentences two days ago? I happen to be the last one, so... yeah".
Stuff like this just goes on and on - factions are introduced badly and don't really seem all that interesting so far. Broken conversation system and wooden facial animations don't help either. It takes a lot out of my immersion and it's not the only thing. Whoever thought creating a MMO-like mechanic with star marked champions with idiotic names like "legendary bandit" was a good idea should be crucified. The fact that killing them is pretty much the only reliable way of getting any interesting, unique loot through exploration is even worse. I suppose I should be glad they aren't color-coded.
Crafting and modding is extensive and pretty cool, but I'm really not much of a Sims player and without any emotional investment - which the game completely fails to provide (even in its main plot, let alone side activities) - it doesn't really feel like building a community either. Building all this stuff through the cumbersome UI only to later defend it from randomly spawned attacks and watch some artificial stats about food/water etc.... it's pretty meh. Potentially fun, but once again, way, way too shallow.
Dunno. I'll play some more, probably finish it at one point or another, but so far I just don't feel the magic. In many ways it honestly feels like a step back from Skyrim, which I loved.
