I know, as a huge fan of the original series. I'm constantly fighting not to get angry about it.
But then I see stuff like perks that turns enemies into a 'shower of caps' or turns you into neo and makes bullet ricochet and kill the enemies that fired them.
Or the fact that theres now only one determining "statistic" for all types of ranged weaponry.
Then theres the 'super' mutants that go down in three shots from a laser rifle, and they don't even look like super mutants anymore. Not any bigger than the manlets at the local gym and with the skin colour of a liver cancer victim.
Theres more shit, like charisma bullets!, but all of it just makes me so angry I end up laughing about it and just roll with it. Because theres really nothing anyone can do about it.
Not even all of the fans of the original series would be able to make a dent in the bethesdurp income by campaigning against it, because those games never sold as much as this will or "Fallout 3" did.
All you can really do is support stuff like Underrail. And hope that something 'not fallout' comes along that harkens back to the good old days.

What I do not understand is why the loot but no weight display
They changed the weight system? Or streamlined it so there is no weight for loot

You might be on to something there. Since theres no conditions for weapons or equipment anymore either.
Maybe it just works?

Well none of the perks seem to be about repairing things unless that's done with scrap when crafting and I don't think there's any perks about inventory management / size either.
EDIT: Actually wasn't weight shown in one of the "You're S.P.E.C.I.A.L" videos?
(Might just be tied to your strength attribute.)

Definitely. Go charisma and watch as shooting at people turn them from enemies to friends, watch as that rushing mutant turns around and attacks his friends due to the charisma of your bullets!

Really? There are "charisma bullets?".. wow. I'm glad i got this one cheap.
Have they said anything about an editor? This one seems to be in more need of modding than any of their previous titles.

Yes, it's the perks that allow you to befriend enemies; animals and humans/mutants, apparently this is done by shooting at them with your regular weaponry.
The editor will be out in january.

It sounds absolutely idiotic. I mean i can get stuff like that for a game like Just Cause or Saints Row, games that really doesnt take themselves seriously in any way and no one is expecting that either. Here it just doesnt fit at all.

There are still some good games around. Or the Wasteland that got released isn't any good? Played it a litle (haven't had time to play it to the end) and it reminded me the good old Fallout 2.
Then theres Pillars of Eternity and Divinity Original Sin comes in mind. And witcher 3.
Played Fallout 3, was so bored by the grind and easy gameplay + not a lot depth in it and never bothered to finish it. But a lot of people say it's so good that they cant stop playing. I just had to stop because I was tired doing the same thing all over again + no good loot + no interesting characters and weak easy gameplay.
Even skyrim for me was boring game with crap gameplay. At least there are Souls series and bloodborne.

For a second there I read it as PRAG ( Oh yeah.. Oz(HBO).. good stuff!)

Where did you get that?

- aim at any animal below your level and gain a chance to pacify it.

Basically it's intimidation\authority check.. You point a gun at men\women\children\dogs\mutants\prags etc etc and if your balls are big enough you intimidate them into submission. It actually makes sense. Also pacify doesn't mean they always get all friendly and start attacking your enemies. Only if you really(high skill) "impress"& intimidate them with your big gun and big balls

@Epsilon
Well, then the description is wrong
The thing is it all depends how it is made. If intimidation checks are made instantly when you point a gun at someone then if you start shooting the next second it might seem as if bullets turn them friendly which they don't. Another thing.. what happens when you shoot targets you intimidated into submission? Do they get hostile? Anyways, I need to see it for myself. I really hope it works not like you described

Same here.... I'll just hex edit the game to remove it like I did with Witcher 3 lol

I actually liked the idea of short text for dialogue, like some said before why write the whole text down if the char says it anyway, but using just one word is a bit too extreme. Witcher 3 did this right, just the right amount of text to make the point clear.
On the other hand, I am glad a spoken char forced them to cut back on text. Bethesda games always have a good amount of filler text, they simply suck hard at writing. You'd think such a big and old RPG dev would be able to hire a legion of great writers.
