Overwatch is Blizzard's attempt to grab a younger audience. Currently, their bigger fanbase comes from those who played Wacraft series, Starcraft 1 & BW and WoW, but the younger gamers aren't all that into Blizzard's games.

It's simple... VALVe took DOTA from Blizzard and now they are trying to do the same, but in the face of TF2 ... so they created Overwatch.

I'm not sure about that.
Sure, they are not in to SC2, because that actully takes some old-school skills and competition, but HotS is doing really finally, as far as I can tell. Don't know about WoW.

Ok so they are selling the game full price, but will also be doing skins? That is awful. Also this can't be a full price release if all they are offering is multiplayer game modes. Now I'm really curious how they are going justify all this.

$40 for a few game modes and maps is reeeaally steep. The game looks great but I'm gonna have to wait and see if they have more in store. When you're not doing F2P, I don't care how many heroes is in the game, I care about how many features and content.

It's kinda worried me it's not coming to OSx this time,Blizzard supported Mac long before companies like Valve entered the picture...
it won't effect people like me ,because I am Win-player,but it's might shown that Blizzard support for PC gaming is weakening...

there is no way this game will get a foothold, blizzard has zero experience with shooters, their servers will be crap, the game has no story and 40-60bucks, lol another dead baby game only bliz junkies will buy and never play

The shooting in Overwatch doesn't seem too good from what I can tell from the streams and videos. I think this will be a turn off for a lot of FPS players. It also has that console feel which is annoying for a PC gamer.

Hmmm I was pretty interested to try it but that price point is a bit much for just a multiplayer only arena like game. If the game randomly popped up on steam one day you'd expect it to be $20 max. Greedy ass blizzard.
