CDkeys.com has it for 39.90. You'll prolly find it at 35'ish elsewhere, but I couldn't recommend those resellers.

Cheaper than €36-37 is only via trading or other aquisitions, maybe someone else knows more.

@WrongID Well that's just a day after Steam releases, you should survive, but maybe less because of the fact it's just cheap plastic

It's not even the right colour, if it's supposed to depict the pipboy in the game. Also it lacks the text by the dials and buttons.
Additionally, when you insert a mobile phone into it, you operate a mobile phone stuck in some plastic thats been strapped to your arm, not a pipboy, because it doesn't function as it does ingame, ie the dials and buttons don't work, you won't ever see the PC touch the screen - aside from wiping some dust off it.
It's a 2$ piece of plastic that people are paying through the nose for.
To paraphrase the SPECIAL videos. Do you know what makes you special? it's that 2$ plastic drum you paid 150$ for and strapped on your arm.

Thanks I went with one of the slightly but more reputable sites - €39 is not a bad price considering rip-off Steam asks €60.

No idea if it's news or not, but just installed the pip-boy app, and it had a demo-mode that can be used without connecting to a game, and it has a map of the game, but obviously only the Vault 111 landmark visible on it, but it had the coast outline, so it can give some ideas where we can go.

Also, you can play the rocket command game on it. Razz

I never sneaked in FO3 or NV. Is it useful and did it work well? I'm wondering whether I should drop points in agility. Strength also seems a bit useless if you don't go melee. Maybe a single point there.

It's going to be like Skyrim, I thought it was handy in that one. Not the best stealth mechanic and not the most fun. But still it had its use.
For strength: well I'm a hoarder so for that alone I need it.

I'm going to be a lucky, charismatic nerd, so strength will hopefully be of lesser use. The only thing I don't know about is agility.

^^ this pretty much Very Happy Though I'm always a thieving bastard in these games, so agility - which now governs lockpicking and pickpocketing - will be a primary stat for me too.

I too was considering playing as a con artist, but seeing how there's a plethora of FOUR dialogue options... Well, fuck it, I'm gonna play a fucking berzerker. Neo-Viking style. Unless the melee sucks. In which case I'm gonna be a back-stabbing / sniping / stealing asshole.

I'll be creeping around dropping live grenades in peoples pockets. Or shooting their arms off.
Between sessions I'll be here complaining that this first person shooter game, is not, in fact, an rpg.
No not really. Cool Face

Of course not. Can't offend the derpsolers by selling them an inferior title. Framerate doesn't count since they can't see above 24 anyhow

If Charisma is like in Fallout 3, then I replace Charisma with Perception there. If they improve it with meaningful dialogue options and branching ( Pffchh ) then +1

I don't know if this was posted already, but there is a nice character builder:
http://www.nukahub.com/tools/special/

My build probably will be:
S6 P5 E3 C6 I6 A3 L1

Want to focus mainly on melee and non-automatic weapons and also stealth around. Very Happy

I would only put 1 point into Charisma, but that one perk at level 6 seems pretty important for settlements.

Dogmeat can't die - unless the Plot© calls for it, of course Laughing

So, on that perk table, what does the number on the first column mean? Is that the level of the associated special attribute required to unlock that perk?

Thanks Very Happy

Ok, I think this would be my starting build:

Strength will probably stay there for most (if not all) of the game but I take it to 6 from the start because I value weight capacity a lot, according to my playstyle Razz I'm the small-arms explorer type who collects a lot of crap/goodies to sell/craft/repair, etc.

I plan to take agility quickly to 10 and intelligence and perception I can do with 8 in the end.
