It's always been like that in Japan. So it pretty much sucks if you want your game on Steam and you live there.

so wheres the problem? japan has to wait one month. the rest of the world has usually to wait atleast 1 year to get great japanese games (if they get translated and released at all)

We should just not release any shooters in Japan at all, and when Japanese gamers cry out .. we can say "egh, there's just no market for shooters in the East" like the fuckers did to us for two decades regarding jRPGs Mad

I've always got keys from GMG almost as soon as preload started, always before actual release. Wink

Really? Because I often hear the exact opposite. In fact, I don't recall any game in recent memory where people got their keys in time for preload.. it was always "keys will be provided on launch day" :\

Exchange student for 2 years. And this was a dorm connection so monitored. Also first time in a foreign country so afraid to f*** up.

Rode a women only train cab by accident due to needing to rush back before the dorm would close its doors. Was wondering why everytime we'd get to a station, men would almost go in, look up, then move further down the platform to find another cab.

Me and my friend realized a bit too late, and so we ended up talking in real loud English and be obnoxious so we can get away with being stupid gaijin.

Scared I was gonna get deported.

Out of all of those, those that had preload, I always received keys before release. If there was no preload, on the day of release. Mind you, I didn't get the key the second the preload started, but on the same day or early the next.
