Waste precious man hours to animate silly things like that (immersive maybe, but nevertheless repetitive and extremely insignificant), when devs could be making more idle stances for NPCs, more variants for melee attacks, more gun reload animations, etc.
Not to mention if you have cup grabbing and drinking animations, then you have to add bending down to drink from tabs / pipe leaks, toilet water, sink water, nuka-cola drinking, etc. Otherwise people will just complain it is incomplete. "You have this for this, but not this for that"
Or, make more variations for things that there never could be enough. Again, idles, attacks, gestures between NPCs. Those things get reused in RPGs so often, I rather they add more of those, things that you see close up all the time and related to the core gameplay.
But that's just me assuming Beth actually have sufficient animators in the first place.

well this is beth so that intro sequence + whatever happens in the vault until you exit it, is probably the only thing that has details / polish really put into it. the rest of the game will not be as good as far as details go.

oh shit, they have to add 4 or 5 additional animations?
how can a company like bethesda undertake such a huge endeavour with a meager budget of 100 million dollars?
such things take 1 whole modder!

People will always complain. But right now it just looks like a job half done. You can use the cup but there's no animation. Why make it usable in the first place if you're lazy to finish the work? Not that it bothers me too much - I just find it curious.
At least they've added drinking sound - "there's your immersion, kids. move along" lol

Concept art had a character in a diving suit exploring the seabed, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's included in the game too (though there's a perk dedicated to swimming so hopefully that's the case).
I mean, who doesn't like a little underwater exploring in absolute dark, in a slow-moving heavy suit with poor visibility and lights?

The dialogue system continues to look terrible. I really hope the PC version at least has a list of full responses instead of the wheel.
Also, those mouth animations are creepy. I can see that they are technically superior to what we had before, but the way their lips twitch (especially on the Vault-Tec guy) is just... ugh.

Why would they make two completely different systems? The PC will have the same dialogue UI as the console, just like Mass Effect did.
