watched many videos of this, and I really think it looks solid..very nice mp modes, coop and sp with nice gp..looks like a full package. I think Im gonna give it a go..

Im about halfway through the campaign. Its good but sorry to say not great. Im enjoying it but its just another Halo and too much like Halo4. I really dont like Prometheans that much. I much prefer to slaughter the Covenant. Quite impressed with the visuals and the amount of weapons to play with. Also quite like the squad based reviving gameplay. Not played any multiplayer yet but its a solid 8/10 so far.

The campaign is big, 15 levels, some levels are really big.

You are playing on easy or normal difficulity right ? and maybe skipping cutscenes?

Try playing on Legendary, that will take some time Laughing

I agree with this. Im playing on Heroic and its a decent challenge. The levels are definitely sprawling and I have spent time exploring looking for data pads and skulls. Probably spending at least an hour per mission so based on that approximately 15 hours for the campaign.

Yeap, i completed the campaign on 12 hours but playing on normal (its really easy, i recommend the heroic difficulty)

I did a lot of exploration, theres easter eggs, secrets, skulls, data pads and some nice conversations to hear.

If you take your time, but please do so, this game is beautiful to look at.

343 did a good job , really good level design

I also played it on normal and it took around 7 hours. On some games I do but on one like this I don't care about collectibles that serve no purpose. I am not alone.

The thing is when you're having to tell people to take their time and play it on the hardest difficulty that proves it's not a long campaign. Ok what purpose will playing on the hardest difficulty accomplish? If you're some bad ass player it should take you no longer than normal because you shouldn't die, but most likely you're going to die a lot. That's not a good way to extend the campaign time IMO unless your idea of replaying the same sections over and over means a long campaign. The Bungie Halo's took twice as long to beat even on normal, even Halo 1! That game came out in 2001. Even 343 said this would be a short campaign, also it's the shortest campaign of any Halo just go to howlongtobeat.com and type in Halo, the average time to beat it is 6.5 hours.

The campaign was also pretty much garbage nothing exciting about it to me so I have no desire to replay it just to collect pointless collectibles.

The only thing this is good for is the multiplayer which is really good. The campaign has become Call of Duty like just an add-on to make people happy.

I know what people do though they paid full price and they want to feel good about their purchase but they're insecure when someone else doesn't like it or doesn't like the length, or maybe some of them really enjoyed the campaign but I did not, live with it. Not everybody will have the same opinion on any game. What's worse is you're telling me to play it on hard when you didn't. Rolling Eyes

I have no problem if someone wants to look at the scenary for 20 minutes, find all the collectibles beat it on heroic that's their choice but the majority won't do that. There are better games that are actually exciting to play through that I would rather move on to. Almost every game has a hard mode and collectibles so it's still a short campaign at it's core. Even Halo 4 also made by 343 had a way better campaign than this both in length and quality.
