Haven't checked to see what they look like in this game but I found the first two Creed games to have pretty brutal combat finishers for the various weapon types and then it got toned down a bit but then increased again in Unity even though it still happens quite often that you just clip your weapon through the NPC model with little to no blood.

Kinda like Unity, you need to upgrade your weapons if you want to have brutal finishes... You definitely cannot go very far without upgrading the weapon system, else it's too hard.
Then it makes it to the level of AC1, kinda like in Unity actually, very similar mechanics.

It's not without it's glitches though. I haven't seen the horrific character eyeballs/mouth looks but there are bouts of being infused in walls, the ground and spires where you synchronize. This is on the XBone version.

havent seen that on unity neither (pc version, initial release and further updates)
the biggest flaw is again the lod, it makes some objects just put in. and looks fucking ugly in distance

the in game rope launcher should also have the "attach the harness and slowly winch yourself up" bit

*fires rope launcher, attaches harness, winches self up the wall for 10 minutes*
